Half of their fundraiser was also donated to Beyond Blue. Also thanks to McGrath Meats for their meat donation for their bbqs. Thank you again, these funds will be used to purchase much needed equipment in Firefly Brigade. 09.01.2022 As the weather starts to heat up, it's a good reminder for residents to start preparing your home for bush fires. Taking these important steps now, could make a...ll the difference if a fire was to threaten you and your home. It is also important to make sure you have a bush fire survival plan and have discussed and practiced it with your family. For more information on on making your plan, visit www.myfireplan.com.au

07.01.2022 On this day last year NSW recorded 17 concurrent Emergency Warnings. Communities in the Blue Mountains, Clarence Valley, Richmond Valley, Walcha, Armidale, Namb...ucca, Kempsey, Tenterfield, and the Mid Coast were all being impacted by fire. At 6pm 94 fires were burning across the state. While the losses on that day were significant they could have been far worse were it not for the extraordinary efforts of firefighters and community members. See more

06.01.2022 Attention- UPDATE YOUR ‘FIRES NEAR ME’ APP.

05.01.2022 Training on this Saturday from 08:00 for members or anyone interested in the brigade. Will be running through the new blower and some other training.

04.01.2022 ATTENTIONTOTAL FIRE BAN FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT. Tomorrow 29/11/20 will be severe fire rating and a total fire ban. A TOTAL FIRE BAN means no fires out in the open. A total fire ban helps limit the potential of fires developing. During a Total Fire Ban you cannot light, maintain or use a fire in the open, or to carry out any activity in the open that causes, or is likely to cause, a fire. General purpose hot works (such as welding, grinding or gas cutting or any activity that produces a spark or flame) are not to be done in the open. The NSW RFS strongly recommends you reconsider activities such as such using a tractor or slashing, to help reduce the chance of a fire starting on your property. Safety first.

03.01.2022 Hot weather is coming. With increased growth, there's an increased risk of grass fires this season. Know what to do to get ready. Check www.myfireplan.com.au for tips on how to keep your family and property safe.
