14.01.2022 One of the projects we have been working on for FireMapper Enterprise is ADS-B receiver integration. This allows FireMapper to display the location of nearby aircraft connection using a ADS-B receiver. During testing it has been working a treat. Aircraft tracks appear and move across the screen (even with no internet connection).....like magic.... Tracks update at a one second interval :-) This functionally is intended to provide greater situational awareness for air attack ...supervisors and air base operators by providing live tracks inside the FireMapper application. The system is designed to complement the existing location sharing functionally that is available in FireMapper Enterprise. For development we have been using the pingUSB Dual-Band ADS-B Traffic Receiver by uAvionix. At around $175 USD (or $349 AUD) it has to be one of the cheapest ADS-B receivers. The pingUSB product can be powered by any usb power source. https://uavionix.com/products/pingusb/ This is a good entry level device, however users may want to consider other receivers such as the Stratus 3 that offer a built in battery and external antenna support (better signal, coverage). FireMapper Enterprise integrates using the GDL90 protocol over Wi-Fi so it supports a range of different ADS-B receivers.

10.01.2022 Coming soon to FireMapper....the ability to change an existing point/line type via the feature info screen. - David.

10.01.2022 Hi all, our NSW users may have noticed an issue with some base map layers over the past 24 hours. The NSW Spatial Data Portal currently has an outage of all their services, which is impacting the map tile layers they provide us. They don't have a restoration time at this stage. Other parts of FireMapper are not impacted by the outage.

03.01.2022 This is the first in a series of videos that highlight the capabilities available in a FireMapper Enterprise subscription

02.01.2022 We have just released an update for FireMapper Enterprise iOS that includes 'auto sharing' of features on shared maps; this functionality replaces the existing 'sync' button and is enabled by default. FireMapper will upload map changes immediately as they're made. The feature can be disabled in the User Profile screen if required. Lots of requests for this feature! The functionality will be released into Android later this month. Note that we will be enabling the functionality on existing subscriptions following confirmation via email.
