24.01.2022 Our WA director, Pat Torres has been doing the hard yards, developing this industry for a long time. She also takes a very careful approach to cultivation that western practices could learn a lot from.

15.01.2022 Very proud of our Secretary and South Australian Director being a finalist in the SA Woman Australia new category First Nations awards. There’s a people choice award so hop online and support. Kerry volunteers on our board and her business @mandanga natural skincare produces indigenous skin care products. And in typical Kerry fashion she's not just helping improve outcomes for First Nations people across Australia in the bushfood and botanical space but wearing and promoting First Nation businesses. In this case Saretta Art & Design
14.01.2022 Great news from Queensland around new biodiversity laws to protect Indigenous knowledge. The Alliance is working towards Federal adoption of the Nagoya Protocol as one means for this to be protected at a national level https://theconversation.com/australias-plants-and-animals-h
13.01.2022 Hear from Rayleen, with over 20 years experience in the industry, why the Alliance is so important and why it is important for our businesses out there and the wider industry to support the Alliance. First Nation business please join to be an Alliance member and have your voice heard. https://www.firstnationsbushfoods.org.au/membersregistration

07.01.2022 Watch this wonderful story of one or our Alliance members Dale Chapman @DillyBagSunshine Coast and why we are all working together and what benefits everyone will get out of this Alliance -including amazing First Nation food collaborations like this
06.01.2022 Yes. It’s annoying. Thanks to @mca Senior Curator, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Collections and Exhibition, Clothilde Bullen for explaining why. Though it’s happening all too often around our bushfood and botanical knowledge too.
05.01.2022 Congratulations to FNBBAA member and bushfood ambassador, Adjunct Professor Dale Chapman Traditional Wellbeing for being part of the team to receive an Australian Research Council Grant - A Deadly Solution:Towards an Indigenous-led bush food industry. Native bushfood and ornamental plants are a significant part of Indigenous biocultural heritage, yet few products are marketed by Indigenous businesses. This research aims to enable Indigenous businesses from bushfoods and native ornamental plants endemic to the Custodial Lands of four Traditional Owner partners #WomenInSTEM #STEM #Science #Food
