23.01.2022 We spend a lot of our waking hours helping our clients prepare for and then enjoy their retirement. So to see one of our own team do just that, is very satisfying. Renate and Tracey first worked together 28 years ago at Local Government Super and developed a strong friendship then. They have worked together in various roles since and Renate has become a key member of our team since we applied for our own Financial Services Licence. Her enthusiasm and bubbly personality is inf...ectious and will be missed by us all. Renate has a lot of walking plans and a big family of grandchildren she and her partner, Peter like to spend time with. She wont be a complete stranger as we may drag her out of retirement yet! We would like to thank you for everything you have done for us Renate and wish you all the very best for your retirement.

23.01.2022 After the passing of his father in March and following a long 7 months, Warwick and Tracey were finally able to visit Warwick's mother, who is suffering from Dementia, in her Aged Care facility in NSW. Even though he is wearing a mask and his smile is hidden, you can see the happiness and joy for them both to finally be reunited.

23.01.2022 As if Covid-19 isn’t enough to contend with? Scammers are hard at work trying to get your information, for their own good. The five-episode podcast series, This is Not Your Life, is produced by Julian Morrow, the creator of ABC TV’s consumer ser...Continue reading

21.01.2022 Firstly, Happy New Year from all the team at First Advice Solutions. If you were like me, you probably couldn’t wait to tear down the 2020 calendar & thrown it in the recycling bin. What an awful experience for all it was. We started with the terrifying bushfires all over the country, devastating regional communities by destroying homes, businesses & untold numbers of stock & wildlife. The pictures on the news were horrific & for many of us, almost too hard to comprehend. Th...Continue reading

03.01.2022 How well do you know your DRS ABCD? On a cold and wintery Adelaide afternoon, our team got together for a personalised First Aid course, in the comfort of our home. In the last 3 years, the First Advice Solutions family has grown by 4 little boys. And as every parent knows, they are full of energy and a few surprises along the way! Children as we know, come with more than their share of health-related challenges. Maybe thats an allergy to dairy or nuts, or waterside safety, ...dealing with a high temperature, choking on their food or having a fall in the playground. So, we enlisted the help of Registered Nurse, Karyn, from Head2toe First Aid to run us through the strategies to employ in these situations. Our training was deliberately targeted at dealing with childrens common issues, but also with a refresher for bigger kids problems as well. Some of us had previously completed various First Aid training, but a refresher is always a great idea. Its not often youll see a First Aid course being run with the trainees having a wine as they went, but it did make it more lifelike! We thoroughly enjoyed the training and all picked up a few pointers, that hopefully we will never need to use. I couldnt recommend Karyn & Head2toe First Aid more highly. Training is easy to understand, has a good mix of practical and theoretical parts and can be tailored to your needs. Ive added Karyns web address if you would like to contact her. www.head2toefirstaid.com.au. To finish off the day we hosted a feast provided by Bre and Ryan of Gather & Graze. The First Advice teams partners joined us with their boys. Whilst the boys played cars we feasted on the beautiful food Bre & Ryan prepared for us. Contact Bre at www.gatherandgraze.co You wont be disappointed.

01.01.2022 This year's Scam Awareness Week theme focuses on personal information and identity crime with the slogan 'Be yourself. Don't let a scammer be you'. With your i...nformation, scammers can: access & drain your bank account open new bank accounts in your name & take out loans/credit lines take out phone plans & other contracts purchase expensive goods in your name steal your superannuation gain access to your government online services access your email and find more sensitive information access your social media accounts & impersonate you to scam your family & friends With more people seeking information and accessing services online, scammers used the spread of COVID-19 to take advantage of people in a variety of phishing scams.
