24.01.2022 The combination of lower interest rates, relaxed serviceability guidelines, and 'less-competitive' property markets, is making this an ideal time for first home buyers to enter the property market.

18.01.2022 Experts are forecasting a massive 20 per cent growth in house prices in Brisbane over the next 3 years. Which is great news if you're a homeowner. If you're not yet, don't wait too long to buy your first home, as there's a good chance you'll be paying tens of thousands of dollars more pretty soon.

17.01.2022 Do you know how much you're eligible to receive in grants or exemptions as a first home buyer? If not, comment below with your State, the type of property you want to buy, and if it's brand new or has been lived in, and we'll let you know.

17.01.2022 The perfect property does not exist. You can get pretty close to it, but unless you have an endless budget, there will always be something you 'wished' it had. This is why we encourage all of our first home buyer clients to make a list of their needs, wants and negotiables. So when it comes to the crunch and you have to make a decision on what type of first home you want to buy or build, you're making the choice with your head, not your heart!

16.01.2022 Not sure when and if it's a good time to buy your first home given all the commentary about the property market? These insights from Michael Matusik might help to give you a little clarity as to what's happening around the country right NOW!

16.01.2022 The recent drop in interest rates means there are now more suburbs where it's actually cheaper to buy a property than rent one. If you were hoping for these suburbs to be in Sydney and Melbourne, you'll be disappointed to find they have the least amount. However, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide have a combined total of over 200 to choose from.

07.01.2022 It's important to ask a lot of questions when buying a property. Especially if you're thinking of purchasing a brand new apartment or something off-the-plan. Here are a few things you should look out for.

07.01.2022 Some economist warn first home buyers need to act now! House prices year on year were up in every capital city last month, except Melbourne. 'When prices rise, they typically rise at a faster rate than first home buyers can save their deposit'.

07.01.2022 "First-home buyers are flooding into the market...and fear of missing out will be playing on their minds and driving people into action.

06.01.2022 It's time to celebrate Why? Because the latest APRA changes mean it will now be easier for you to qualify for a home loan With changes to serviceability (how the banks determine how much you can afford to repay on your home loan based on your living expenses and other debts ie. credit cards), along with a drop in interest rates (as this affects the amount you'll have to pay back each week, fortnight, month), you'll not only be able to borrow more, but your repayments ...will also be less. What does this mean for you? Well, it could mean the difference in the type of property you can afford to buy as you'll be able to borrow more. or For some of you who were previously told you didn't qualify for a loan or you could only borrow a small amount, you may now be able to borrow 10 of thousands of dollars more. Many first home buyers are now able to borrow between $40,000 - $70,000 more than they could have last week. So if you think these latest changes will put you in a better position to buy your first home and you need a bit of help to find out how, send us a message letting us know which State you're in and the type of property you want to buy and we'll get back to you ASAP.

04.01.2022 Great news for NSW First Home Buyers. Stamp duty will be temporarily axed on new homes valued under $800,000. The changes would save first home buyers stamp duty of up to $31,335 on a new $800,000 home.... This will increase from the current $650,000 to $800,000, with the concession reducing on higher values before phasing out at $1 million. The stamp duty threshold on vacant land will rise from $350,000 to $400,000 and will phase out at $500,000. This will only apply to newly-built homes and vacant land, not to existing homes, and will last for a 12-month period, commencing on 1 August 2020. If you'd like to speak with a first home buyer specialist to see if you can benefit from these changes, comment below or send us a message.
