23.01.2022 Canberra is in for a show like no other tonight, when drag kings and queens take to the stage for a night of wigs and wonderment. All performers are First Nations, or people of colour, and they're keen to send a message.

22.01.2022 I am woman, hear me roar In numbers too big to ignore And I know too much to go back an' pretend 'Cause I've heard it all before And I've been down there on the floor... No one's ever gonna keep me down again Oh yes I am wise But it's wisdom born of pain Yes, I've paid the price But look how much I gained If I have to, I can do anything I am strong (strong) I am invincible (invincible) I am woman See more

16.01.2022 warning We are in the 20th century but first Nations people‘s we’re still fighting for the rights of a quality Racism is alive and well in this country today from all corners of the communities... No one in this country today has suffered racism more than my first Nations people‘s When is it going to stop the wider community talks about equality and equity to stop racism Then on the other hand where are you come out in support of First Nations people is when it comes to racism A couple years ago we celebrated marriage a quality but we its first Nations people in this country today are still fighting for that a quality Where is the rainbow flag when it comes to fighting for aboriginal land rights aboriginal deaths in custody he will be ecstatic racism what comes out of these communities and comes out of the police So the LGBT I community don’t so you know about racism or you know what’s better for our people because you have no idea People do not judge us because of our sexuality or gender they judge us for the colour of our skin our sexuality does not come into play World pride is coming to to Sydney in 2023 there is a big focus on the human rights conference and focusing on the LGBTQIA human rights but what about my first Nations people‘s rights There needs to be a focus of the extent of racism from all walks of these communities towards First Nations peoples when you are silent about racism towards any people should be called out We are in 2020 and racism towards my first Nations people‘s are still going on what a national disgrace

13.01.2022 I would just like to share this to show our LGBTQIA not indigenous brothers and sisters that this is the way the police forces thanks Demmick racism profile of indigenous peoples is a national disgrace We talk about equality and equity in the first Nations people we are still fighting for a quality in our own country today This is what First Nations people go through every day across this country ... So for you privilege white people who think you know better or know about First Nations people’s you need to have a good look at your life and the privilege that you have got from the land that was never seated. This is an aboriginal elder this is how people treat elders in our community disgusting shameful and it’s very hurtful to see

09.01.2022 We want to hear from you! VAEAI is looking to learn more about the school experiences of young Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students that identify a...s LGBTQIA+, which is why we’ve created a Schools Koorie LGBTQIA+ Survey. The insights from this survey will help inform us on what is working well in the school space and what needs improvements - and advise us on the work we should be doing to best advocate for you. We want all Koorie students to achieve their best in an environment that is not just safe and inclusive for them, but supportive and celebrative of them.
