10.01.2022 Today, the last Sunday in July would normally see us celebrating the Einbunpin Festival as a community. But of course, COVID put us in the unenviable position ...of cancelling the festival for this year. It’s the first time since 1991 that we don’t have our festival down by the lagoon - and it feels a little strange! The Einbunpin Festival is the biggest community organised and community focussed festival on the Northside of Brisbane and it’s been one of the biggest highlights each year to be the Chair of the organising committee as your local Councillor. The reason this festival has been a run away success each year for decades, is because our community is such a special and supportive place. We’ve been supporting the community groups and businesses who make our festival so special online - but we know it’ll take much more that a month long ‘virtual festival’ for our diverse community to emerge from the other side of COVID in one piece. So please support those groups and businesses you would normally check out at the festival - in any way you can. We’ve been working behind the scenes to plan a bigger and better festival for 2021 and make it easier for stall holders, performers and for you all to be part of the festival. While we couldn’t do it in person today - be sure to wear the Einbunpin grin

08.01.2022 FESTIVAL DAY Each year on the last Sunday of July we celebrate the best event in Brisbane, our very own Einbunpin Festival!! While unfortunate circumstances prohibited us from enjoying this wonderful event this time around - we look ahead to a BIG return!!... We have a huge amount to be thankful for and today is a great chance to share some of that good old Einbunpin cheer with all those around us. BRING ON 2021!!!
