21.01.2022 This is Brendon Slape (Sunshine Coast Account Manager) working on the tools over Christmas to help get a big refurbishment job finished. We think its important that not only our site staff but also our estimators, account managers and project managers have trade qualifications and licenses. It means that they have shown they can apply themselves and stick at something long enough to get a qualification, and it means that most of the time they know what they are talking abo...ut. We love the difficult jobs, give us a try. https://hubs.ly/H0mGP6k0

18.01.2022 Just because you get older, doesn't mean you have to stop playing in sand pits.

16.01.2022 We have been trying to stay busy over the last few weeks. We are really proud of not only the quality of the works we do, but more so the quality of the people who do it. We are lucky to have them and appreciate everything they do for us.

15.01.2022 Changes at First Response Maintenance Solutions. As our business grows and expands, we continually look at all parts of the business to make sure they are performing the best they can be. Doing what we do isnt easy, and its not for everyone. Sometimes we have the job of finding where others have failed in proper construction methods, or where buildings havent been maintained well which has led to failure. We deal with the best of people, and unfortunately the worse of peo...ple when they are suffering from a stressful event. In the first 3 years of business, we have completed over 2000 projects. In the first 2 months of 2020, we have completed over 300 quotes alone. Its alot of work, and you really have to be passionate about it or eventually it wears you down. We are disappointed to announce that company founder, Aaron Yates has decided that his passion is construction of residential properties has got the better of him, and has decided to return back into that field where he built a well regarded home residential construction business for 10 years. We wish to thank Aaron for his dedication, loyalty and hard work in establishing the foundations of a really successful business, and wish him nothing but all the success in the world back in the residential construction market.

15.01.2022 As our business continues to grow, its imperative that we develop as leaders. We believe that how we behave as leaders, effects how our people behave, which effects what our customers get as service. With that in mind, it makes sense to invest in becoming better leaders. The first part of being better leaders is understanding what the purpose of our leadership team is, and what behaviours we want our people to recognise as the behaviours we want to be known for.... Thank you to Simon Fletcher at Leading Teams in facilitating and mentoring our journey so far, we love where we are going and are wrapped to have you with us for the journey.

15.01.2022 Like everyone else, we are in limbo about what the next few weeks and months are going to look like. People are doing it tough, life was hard enough before the drought, before the fires and now this. We will all come out the other side.... Here is what we are focussing on to help us get through it. We hope you can take something out of it. Stay positive: alot of people have it worse off then us. Look for the good things: More time at home with your family isnt terrible. Look for the opportunities: Work out how to do your job remotely (if possible). Use technology to stay connected. Make it work now and you might have more time when things go back to normal. Be agile: Things can and probably will change any minute. Be ready for anything, focus on what your customers need most and be flexible to help them with it. Stay safe and look out for each other. Take only what you need, and leave the rest for others.

15.01.2022 We are looking to fill a couple of fulltime positions for maintenance carpenters. We work all across Brisbane, so you will be required to have your own vehicle and tools to complete a wide ranging scope of works, including general carpentry, plastering, basic roofing and other maintenance tasks. You will need to be able to work without supervision, and be trusted to complete projects without having someone telling you what to do every 5 minutes.... We pay weekly, and only employ people when we have enough work to keep you permanently. This is not a job for someone looking for short term opportunity. We are looking for people want to feel appreciated and valued, and will still be here in 12 months or more. If you are interested, send us through your details in the form of a resume and we will organise a meeting.

14.01.2022 Vibe Hotel Gold Coast has undergone significant renovation and refurbishments in the last 24 months. The hotel rooms have had a major make over, the amazing Driftwood Social space was created with water views, and recently the building was fully repainted in new and modern colour schemes. The common area bathrooms however had been overlooked throughout these renovations and refurbishment works, until now.... Read more below. 14.01.2022 Our purpose is to provide high quality maintenance and building solutions to our customers whilst improving the lives of the people who we work with, and partner with. In times of crisis, its important to focus on what is important, and leave everything else for later. When the first stages of lock down happened, and business wasnt looking positive, we went to our purpose as we felt it was the only thing that was important at that time. We knew that our people (staff, sub ...contractors) were going to be nervous about the future, and that to truly improve their lives we needed to keep them working for as long as we could. It was all that mattered for about 4 weeks. We were relentless in finding work to keep people busy, we didnt want anyone to miss a shift, let alone lose their jobs. What we didnt count on is the response from our staff who in the face of uncertainty would have been excused for being negative. What we have seen is in fact the opposite, and we couldnt be more proud to be their employer. We have had amazing feedback about our all of our staff, one client actually said "if he had a son he would wish he was like Matt" (one of our amazing carpenters in the picture below) as well as a score of 11/10 on a Brisbane project.

13.01.2022 We are a proud Australian owned and operated company. Happy Australia Day.

13.01.2022 Dave isnt wearing the latest Coronavirus mask. He is in Darwin painting out 160 hotel rooms. Part of the job is updating the bathroom tiles. The hotel didnt want to spend alot of money replacing the tiles, so a 2 pack paint system is a cost effective solution.

06.01.2022 We have benefited so much from working with Leading Teams. We felt strongly enough that we have decided to partner with them and give one lucky delegate from the #SBMAQ conference on the Gold Coast happening this week the opportunity to have a half day session with Simon from the Qld office. What can be covered in a half day session?... - Cultural clarity and alignment - The role of leaders in a high performing team & what does leadership look like for this team? - Look at the role culture and relationships play in performance and feedback - Who are the influencers in your team? Do they influence in the right way? - Introduction to review tools We hope the winner get's as much benefit as we have over the last 12 months.
