25.01.2022 A great night for the Dads!

25.01.2022 Dear Families of First Steps PreKindy, I would first like to take this opportunity to thank all our wonderful staff for everything they have been doing over the past few weeks. Their dedication to provide your children with the best educational program and in the safest and cleanest environment they can provide has been outstanding. Due to the latest Government requirements to slow the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in communities, the Prime Minister Scott Morrison outlined further restrictions on businesses and individuals. Community Centre’s now fall under these restrictions; so from midnight tonight March 25th 2020 Kulungah-Myah Family Centre will temporarily be closed and this means First Steps will also temporarily close during this time.

20.01.2022 What a beautiful week to do some gardening. This week we have been learning all about farmers so we thought we would become farmers ourselves and plant some vegetables in our veggie garden. We can’t wait to watch them grow

15.01.2022 It’s beginning to look like Christmas. With the end of the year fast approaching and with our community Christmas party only 2weeks away the children have been very busy exploring and creating lots of gorgeous Christmas crafts!

14.01.2022 Today marks the beginning of NAIDOC Week 2019. This years theme is: Voice Treaty Truth. This incredible artwork is named Awaken and has been created by artist Charmaine Mumbulla. Early dawn light rises over Uluru, symbolising our continued spiritual and unbroken connection to the land. Our message, developed through generations, is echoed throughout the land: hear our voice and recognise our truth.

12.01.2022 Happy St Patrick’s Day!

12.01.2022 This term at First Steps PreKindy has been all about community helpers! We were so lucky to have St Johns Ambulance come and visit us and talk to us about what Paramedics do. We got to hop in the ambulance, read stories and learn how to put bandages on eachother. It was a great day!

07.01.2022 We still have space available in our Monday,Wednesday & Friday groups. Don’t forget that our Monday and Wednesday group can either do a full day or half day. All sessions are covered by the childcare subsidy and children can start before they turn 3!!!
