(Friday) We also have a good range of Anubia, Java ferns, some Java Moss, Susswassatang, Crypts, Aponagetons, Plants On Wood and Tissue Culture plants. All our plants are true aquatic and as long as you have the right conditions, they should live a thrive in your aquariums. If you are having trouble growing plants, please feel free to speak to our trained staff tips and advice.

18.01.2022 A bit of an update on stock levels. As most of you are probably aware there are massive issues getting stock into and around Australia during these crazy covid times. This is for dry goods and live stock. ... We have been working hard behind the scenes to try and acquire more stock coming into Christmas as we are anticipating even more shortages. Our hard work is paying off and we are seeing lots of stock coming in right now. However we are unsure how long it will last or if we will get many more opportunities to restock prior to Christmas. Our advice is if you are looking for items as Christmas presents to grab them while they are there. We are happy to now take Christmas deposits or lay buys on dry goods. We don’t normally do any sort of hard push and hopefully don’t come across as doing that now. We just want to let you all know that all stock across our industry is limited. We also want to take this opportunity to thank all of our customers for your support this year. It’s been a crazy year and we are very grateful for each and every one of you. 14.01.2022 These are both Murray River Short Neck Turtles (Emydura macquarii) only difference is 5 years in age. There is NO such thing as a Penny Turtle. We frequently tell customers that there is no such thing, to then be told yeah, but theyll only grow to the size of their tank.... That is a myth, it may stunt their growth and they may grow slower. But it is not good for their health. Penny Turtles are just baby turtles which will eventually reach a 30cm diameter. Here we have a baby turtle which would be no more then a month old and a 5 year old female. A 120cm (4ft) enclosure is the bare minimum for a adult Murray River Short Neck Turtle.

12.01.2022 Dirty water in the eastern suburbs. Even though some suburbs are getting the ok to use the tap water again, please be careful when using it for water changes on your fish tanks. It will most likely have a higher than normal level of chloramine and/or other disinfects in it. ... If you can wait a few days before doing water changes, please do. If you need to do water changes now, we suggest doubling the dose of dechlorinator for the short term. The other option is to use RO water. We sell RO Water in 20L drums. RODI = Reverse Osmosis De-Ionized. We already sell this water a lot for customers with AquaScapes or Marine aquariums. You can bring your own drums or hire/purchase one of ours. 20 litres of RO water $4.00 Drum hire/purchase $14.00
