23.01.2022 Job came in today from Aquaview Jet Ski hire here in Hervey Bay. I checked it out last when and found the drive shafts had stripped out causing a no drive situation. New shafts arrived so time to fix it up. Geez Yamaha props are a pain to get off.

22.01.2022 OMG this is the part I hate! A 2013 Kawasaki ultra 300X that a marine mechanic returned to my customer in bits after 6 months but didn’t explain the full extent of the issues (as far as I know). Blown intercooler, no compression, broken tps, broken supercharger belt tensioner. Now I have to tell my customer she is up for an $8.5k repair.

03.01.2022 Did a few little mods on a Kawasaki STX15F this week as well as the normal servicing and a fuel pump fuse replacement . We put in some berthing cleats and a neutral detent in the STX. It was really easy to give the Kawasaki a neutral I can’t understand why Kawasaki didn’t do it from factory. It works really well in the water too.

03.01.2022 My customer Fraser Jet in Hervey Bay are selling there fleet of 2017 VX’s and a couple of FX’s. On all the VX’s we have over the last 3 months renewed all the drive shafts and intermediate bearings @ around 900 hours! These skis are still in good nick. It just goes to show you that engine hours do not guarantee a ski in good condition. I’ve had skis with 50 hours on them requiring 8k in repair. Please before you buy a ski have someone that knows what they are talking about check it out. Then I won’t have to give bad news to one of my great customers.
