If there are any Recreational Fishers or interested stakeholder groups out there with a knowledge of the Gwydir Valley, be sure to have your say and apply. The Gwydir EWAG provides advice to The Department of Planning, Industry & Environment on the use of water for the environment in the Gwydir Valley.... Skills and knowledge sought include: Indigenous knowledge; Floodplain and wetland management; Water Management; Local knowledge of the Gwydir Floodplain and Wetlands including ecology; and Related community interests. 15.01.2022 Tamworth Regional Landcare Association are at it again with another fun filled day planned along the banks of the Peel River in Tamworth. Join Landcare, rec fishers and NSW DPI Fisheries at the Peel River this Sunday for clean up Australia day. Some cool give aways for keen participants doing their part to improve fish habitat by planting trees and removing rubbish -thanks to the Fish Habitat Network (NSW Recreational Fishing Trust - your license fees at work).

09.01.2022 "Fat Ducks Mean Fat Cattle" A great video highlighting the importance of environmental flows for the Macquarie Marshes. Murray cod are just one of the many fish species benefiting from environmental flows across the Murray Darling Basin.

Funding has been made available from the NSW Recreational Fishing Trusts, The Ian Potter Foundation through the Screens for Streams Program and BCF - Boating Camping Fishing.
