24.01.2022 A couple of standout pearl perch from Saturday’s seven hour trip. We fished the North Reef area and conditions were pretty good for most of the morning despite the forecast. The rest of the catch was grass sweetlip, venus tusk fish and moses perch. Current was steady from the north. www.fishingnoosa.com.au/fishingoffshorenoosa.htm

24.01.2022 Overcast but very pleasant at the river mouth this morning. A comfortably cool 7 to 10 knot south easterly breeze blowing. Little or no swell on the bar. Only c...harter boats and a few jet skis heading out when I was there. Small boat owners probably still recovering from last night's festivities. Filmed between 5.45am and 7.00am which was roughly an hour after a 1.74m high tide. Background Music: 'Jah Jah Bangs'... by Quincas Moreira. www.fishingnoosa.com.au See more

23.01.2022 We fished up around Double Island Point on Sunday and Monday. We caught some quality snapper both days on soft plastics and floating pilchards, as well as jewfish, cobia, longtail tuna, pearl perch, venus tusk fish and moses perch. Conditions were great on Sunday but got a little bumpy by Monday afternoon. Slight current to the south in most areas. www.fishingnoosa.com.au/fishingoffshorenoosa.htm

22.01.2022 We fished Sunshine Reef on this morning's seven hour trip. Conditions improved a lot overnight and the fishing wasn’t too bad either. We landed a couple of prized coral trout, plus Maori cod, venus tusk fish, moses perch and a few grassy sweetlip. www.fishingnoosa.com.au/fishingoffshorenoosa.htm

20.01.2022 We fished up around Double Island Point on Monday’s nine hour trip. The fish were biting all day, which made for a pretty good looking esky. We caught a heap of quality gold band snapper, some big venus tusk fish, pearl perch, moses perch, mahi mahi and snapper. Conditions turned out to be pretty good with about 10 knots of easterly wind and a slight current. www.fishingnoosa.com.au/fishingoffshorenoosa.htm

20.01.2022 Another lovely day here in Noosa. Blue skies over scattered cotton wool cloud. A light 5 to 7 knot north westerly breeze blowing at the river mouth. Little or n...o swell on the bar or in the bay. BOM forecast is for north to north westerly winds 10 to 15 knots, increasing to 15 to 20 knots during the morning then tending north to north easterly 20 to 25 knots in the afternoon. Filmed between 6.20am and 6.30am which was just after a 1.86m high tide. Background Music: 'Lazy Boy Blues'... by Unicorn Heads. www.fishingnoosa.com.au See more

17.01.2022 We ran back to back five hour trips to Sunshine and Coolum on Saturday. Conditions were excellent all day and we boated some nice fish including coral trout, snapper, grass emperor, tusk fish, moses perch and school mackerel. This young man did very well to land a couple of snapper and a coral trout in three consecutive drops! www.fishingnoosa.com.au/fishingoffshorenoosa.htm

16.01.2022 We’ve had a busy week getting out every day with pretty good results. On the nine hour trips up around Double Island Point we’ve caught snapper, mulloway, scarlet sea perch, pearl perch, venus tusk fish and amberjack. Closer to home, Sunshine Reef has been fishing well for coral trout, pearl perch, cobia and the odd snapper. www.fishingnoosa.com.au/fishingoffshorenoosa.htm

16.01.2022 We fished Sunshine Reef on a five hour trip this morning. The fishing started off pretty slow but steadily improved. We finished up with plenty of grass sweetlip, snapper, pearl perch, tusk fish, brownline sea perch and coral trout. Current was steady from the north. www.fishingnoosa.com.au/fishingoffshorenoosa.htm

14.01.2022 We fished the North Reef area on Sunday’s seven hour trip. Conditions were pretty good with light south easterly winds and a steady current from the north. This did make anchoring difficult at times. We landed quite a few Jewfish as well as pearl perch, Venus tusk fish, gold spot cod and grass sweetlip. www.fishingnoosa.com.au/fishingoffshorenoosa.htm

13.01.2022 We fished Double Island Point on Sunday's nine hour trip. Conditions were great with no current and light southerly breezes. We noticed a good show of pelagics on the sounder so started off by jigging with great success. After everyone on board had caught a Spanish mackerel or two we moved on to chase some reef fish. We landed some quality large mouth nannygai and pearl perch. www.fishingnoosa.com.au/fishingoffshorenoosa.htm

13.01.2022 We’ve been pretty busy this past week with the good weather. We fished Chardon's Reef on Friday’s seven hour trip in glass out conditions and spent the day drifting. We ended up with venus tusk fish, snapper, scarlet sea perch, Maori cod, gold spot cod and moses perch. On Saturday we ran back to back trips to Sunshine Reef. We ended up with a good bag of fish both trips including quality venus tusk fish and pearl perch, plenty of grass sweetlip and moses perch. www.fishingnoosa.com.au/fishingoffshorenoosa.htm

12.01.2022 We ran back to back five and seven hour trips to Sunshine Reef and North Reef on Friday. Conditions were pretty good and we caught a good mixed bag including cobia, pearl perch, grass sweetlip, coral trout, venus tusk fish and gold spot cod. www.fishingnoosa.com.au/fishingoffshorenoosa.htm

10.01.2022 Had an awesome nine hour trip on Friday. Everyone got their bag limit of quality snapper, along with a couple of beautiful mahi mahi, gold band snapper, venus tusk fish, rosy jobfish and moses perch. The snapper were biting all day and happily took soft plastics, floating baits and paternosters. Conditions were great all day with light winds and almost no current. www.fishingnoosa.com.au/fishingoffshorenoosa.htm

09.01.2022 We’ve been busy lately. Had Sunday and Monday off due to the windy conditions but it’s calmed down considerably the last couple of days. We’ve been catching some cracking fish up at Double Island Point on the longer trips including plenty of snapper, jewfish, some stonker Venus tusk fish, gold band snapper, Moses perch, amberjack and frypan snapper. In closer, Chardon's Reef produced some nice pearl perch, Maori cod and Moses perch while Sunshine Reef has been good for a few Venus tusk fish and grass sweetlip. We haven’t encountered any current lately and the pelagics seem to have disappeared for now. www.fishingnoosa.com.au/fishingoffshorenoosa.htm

09.01.2022 We’ve been flat out this week running up to 3 trips a day. We managed two nine hour trips up to Double Island Point which produced some great fish including trophy snapper, mulloway, and large mouth nannygai to name a few. We stuck to Sunshine Reef on most of the five and seven hour charters which has also been productive. We’ve landed good numbers of grass sweetlip, snapper, moses perch, venus tusk fish and the odd coral trout. There’s also been a few longtail tuna and spotty mackerel on surface if you can beat the sharks. www.fishingnoosa.com.au/fishingoffshorenoosa.htm

08.01.2022 We’ve been flat out running back to back five and seven hour trips the last few days. The fishing has been pretty good on the close reefs from Sunshine to Coolum. There seems to be good numbers of yellowtail kingfish around, along with pearl perch, grass emperor, tusk fish, coral trout, small snapper and the odd Spanish mackerel. The water is fairly dirty with a steady current from the south. www.fishingnoosa.com.au/fishingoffshorenoosa.htm

08.01.2022 We fished Sunshine Reef on Sunday on a five hour trip. Conditions were glorious, but we had a hard time getting fish past the sharks on some spots. We caught pearl perch, venus tusk fish, moses perch and yellowtail kingfish. Richard from the Noosa Yachtie Fishing Club is pictured with his standout fish going just under 12kg, which he did extremely well to land on light gear. www.fishingnoosa.com.au/fishingoffshorenoosa.htm

05.01.2022 We ran back to back five hour trips out to Sunshine Reef on Wednesday. We caught a good range of reef fish including snapper, Venus tuskfish, grass sweetlip, spangled emperor, Moses perch and cobia. Conditions were good most of the day however the south easterly got up to about 20 knots late in the afternoon. Current was slight to the south. www.fishingnoosa.com.au/fishingoffshorenoosa.htm

03.01.2022 Here’s a pic of one of a number of quality snapper we boated on Saturday’s nine hour trip up to Double Island Point. It took a liking to a soft plastic, as did a few other snapper and spangled emperor. The rest of the catch was venus tusk fish, moses perch, pearl perch and mahi mahi (on a trolled skirt). Current was running steadily to the south. www.fishingnoosa.com.au/fishingoffshorenoosa.htm

02.01.2022 It was a massive week for us on the water and we were lucky enough to have great conditions just about every day. We ran a couple of nine hour trips up to Double Island Point which produced quality mahi mahi and plenty of reef fish including venus tusk fish, snapper, pearl perch, moses perch and gold spot cod. Closer to home, North Reef has been fishing really well. We ran three trips to that area on Wednesday which produced pearl perch, tusk fish, Maori cod and moses perch throughout the day. We finished off with a hot sunset bite of quality grass sweetlip and snapper. www.fishingnoosa.com.au/fishingoffshorenoosa.htm
