25.01.2022 Water was green in close so we went wide to chase some little Marlin. Managed to raise a couple with @brenton.jefferies landing his first before the wind came up and pushed us inshore. Found a nice Spanish and Cobia before we Dropped into the creek on the way home and managed a Barra as well so pretty happy with a Billfish and Barra in the same day! The new Solix performed flawlessly even though I haven’t had a chance to learn how to tune it! Marked a good Barra before he nailed a lure and pulled the hooks and spotted a Stingray pushing bait against the bank. Unreal units! @costaaustralia @humminbird_au_nz

18.01.2022 After a slow start to the comp season we finally pulled a score together at the #barraclassic2018. We never had a big day but had consistent daily scores which saw us sit in 4th place the entire comp. We changed the game plan and went for broke on the last day which unfortunately didn’t pay off but our scores were enough to keep 4th position. We’ll be a bit wiser and better prepared next year! Thanks so much to the #palmerstongamefishingclub for organising the #barranationals...2018 and the #darwingamefishingclub for putting together the #barraclassic2018. Both are fantastically run events which I’ll look forward to for the next 12 months! Massive thanks to the my team mates for both events. 09.01.2022 When Kurt yells there’s a shark on your Barra! from just looking at the side scan on the Solix you know she’s painting nicely! Unfortunately this big girl lost her head. Never seen sharks feeding on everything headfirst? We figured there must have been illegal netters in the area and the sharks have worked out some new tricks. Losing big girls to sharks sucks!
