19.01.2022 Sole Traders such as personal trainers and small business owners If you have found yourself affected by the economic downturn as indoor sporting venues across the country shut down indefinitely, I wrote the following to offer some help. You have the following options: ... 1. Rent Reduction A rent reduction is a no-brainer. If you have not already done so, you should ask for a rent-free period from the gym owner/manager (if you are personal trainer) and ask for a rent-free period or at least rent reduction from the landlord (if you are a gym owner); 2. Superannuation You can access up to $10,000 of your superannuation in the 2019-20 financial year and a further $10,000 in 2020-21. These withdrawals will be tax-free; 3. Business Loan Queensland is currently leading the way in respect to helping small businesses survive the outbreak. The state is currently offering interest-free loans of up to $250,000 to businesses. These loans are available interest-free for 12 months and aims to help businesses cover costs and keep staff employed. 4. Cash Payment Receive a tax-free, cash payment of up to $100,000 to keep employing staff. Please note the minimum payment for eligible businesses will be $20,000 and is automatically calculated by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO). There are no new forms required. 5. Coronavirus Supplement. You will be able to receive a Coronavirus Supplement of $550 a fortnight for the next six months through Centrelink if you are a sole trader who is currently making less than $1,075.00 a fortnight. If you need help or further advice, please do not hesitate to message or contact me. #lawyers #lawyersofinstagram #newbusiness #lawfirm #australia #qld #queensland #aussielawyer #lawyerswholift #fitness #law #principallawyer #instalawyer #lawyerslife #businessowner #koreanlawyer #koreanlawyerinqld #gymowner #supplementstoreowner
