21.01.2022 With many of us not able to get away as hoped, these holidays are a good opportunity to try out new healthy recipes to have on hand..... 1) Pasta sauce: caramelise onions in olive oil, stir through garlic, bay leaves, thyme, parsley and tomatoes. Simmer for 2 hours. Remove herb stalks and whizz it all up. 2) Roasted capsicum salsa: Whizz together a jar of roasted capsicum, 2 cloves of garlic, 1/4 cup toasted almonds, juice of 1/2 lemon, salt and pepper. 3) Beetroot relish: Pe...el, chop and roast beetroot in the oven. Whizz up in food processor with a glove of garlic, salt and pepper. Add to salads, sandwiches etc. 4) Home made falafel: Combine 2 tins chickpeas (washed drained and patted dry) with 1 brown onion, i small red pepper, garlic, teaspoon baking soda, cumin and lots of fresh coriander, parsley. 02.01.2022 Here is a no frills training session with me in my old floppy training gear without special lighting or brushed hair. This is how I usually train when the camera isn’t on. It doesn’t need to be pretty it just needs to be effective. As a trainer I’m lucky to have lots of gear at home but I still invent equipment for different movements. I don’t have a cable machine so I do chest flyes with the resistance band on a hook we drilled into the wall. And for T-Bar row I tuck... the barbell into the corner on an old mat and load up one end. This workout includes: 10 reps x 5 rounds of the following...
