23.01.2022 Many thanks to the staff and pre-primary students at Dianella Heights Primary for inviting Science Buzz to present the hands-on "Air? Is it Really There?" incursion. The Elephant's Toothpaste and Vortex cannon were a BIG hit! The students had a great time doing hands-on follow-up activities with mini vortex cannons, vortex bottles and bottle divers to explore all about air. We even used air to trick our teachers into thinking we could move something with our "mind power...". Very clever of you you guys! Well done.

22.01.2022 You may not like these little wrigglies but odds are your students will... An awesome way to teach about life cycles.

12.01.2022 Brooke Gardiner reviewed Science Buzz 5 star 12 August at 18:03 John from Science Buzz was absolutely fantastic!! He came & presented his show 'Air is it really there?' to our whole school over 2 days. He was easy to communicate with in the lead up to the incursion & was just amazing with the students on both days. He was able to vary his show to cater for all grades from Kindy to Year 6. The students loved that they could touch & 'play' with everything & that they could go home & make what was shown. Thanks for a wonderful incursion. Highly recommended

12.01.2022 Thanks to John Patterson, the remarkable science teacher from Science Buzz, for creating magical moments in our House with his incredible science lessons. Our p...opular School Holiday Program would not be as extraordinary without the generosity and skills of local visiting professionals. John from Science Buzz has been a regular guest at our House every school holidays since the ‘Work of Heart’ Program first began in December 2015. John brings along all of his scientific expertise and allows the children to do their own experiments with dry ice, giant bubbles, vortexes and he even brings in his collection of giant stick insects for us to hold. Thanks John, for creating extraordinary experiences for children like Aleah. See more

08.01.2022 Thanks to All Saints College for inviting Sciencebuzz to present our "Air. Is it really there?" show.

03.01.2022 What is Science Buzz? Science Buzz is a hands-on science incursion experience for students aged four to 12. We visit your school or School Holiday Program and bring all of the equipment to provide an educational and entertaining science experience for groups of up to 60 students. The Science Buzz program ticks all the boxes to meet science curriculum education criteria.... We provide 45-minute to one hour demonstrations that have kids come alive they love it! The bonus for teachers is we bring all the equipment, make the fun-mess and then we take it all away with us. For students, we highlight how science is all around us. We use a hands-on program that guarantees each child will experience science in a new way. The Science Buzz program compliments what students are learning in class and provides the opportunity to work in small groups to maximise each child’s science experience. Our demonstrations include the; - Vortex Canon - Jedi Mind Trick - Vortex Bottle - Gravity Simulator - Solar Balloon Science Buzz is also available to perform a 10minute demonstration at your next school assembly. For information about our program or to enquire about pricing and availability call 0403 317 465, message Science Buzz or email [email protected] ABOUT ME I’m John Paterson - the Science Guy! I am a Science Specialist teacher with more than 35 years of teaching experience. What I love most about teaching is working hands on and in the process sharing science in a fun and practical way. There is science in everything we see and do. From the process of a caterpillar turning into a butterfly to mixing liquids to create amazing effects. It’s fascinating and fun!

03.01.2022 Experiment to see who can be the first to empty the top bottle of water. Will a fast vortex empty the bottle quicker than a slow vortex? Why does the water stay in the top bottle if you don't start a vortex?

02.01.2022 Science Buzz is taking bookings for Term 4. If you would like a science incursion with "Wow!" demonstrations and lots of hands-on activities Science Buzz has you covered. Message or call on 0403317465 for further information.

01.01.2022 Gavin Goh reviewed Science Buzz 5 star John from Science Buzz presented a fantastic show to a Year 3 Class at Highgate Primary School. All the activities were hands-on and the kids were amazed by making whirlpools in bottles, floating a boat underwater, using 'The Force' to move an object up and down inside a sealed bottle and making smoke rings with a vortex cannon. All activities were curriculum linked and students learned about molecules. It's as close to magic as science can be!
