20.01.2022 Exercise shouldnt be a short term solution, a quick fix or a fad. It should be part of your lifestyle. Worry less about your "summer body" and focus on how good exercise is for your health, happiness and well-being. #FitforLife #ExerciseRight

20.01.2022 We all know the health benefits of exercise, but did you know increasing your physical activity levels can boost the economy. According to new research, global ...GDP could increase by between US$314 billion and US$446 billion by 2050 if the least active members of the population reach at least 150 minutes of moderate activity per week. This is the first time that a multi-country macroeconomic model has been applied to the area of physical activity, facilitating a detailed assessment of the current and future implications of insufficient physical activity," said Hans Pung, president of RAND Europe (the research institute who conducted the research). The study points to a significant relationship between inactivity and productivity loss, driven largely by ill-health related presenteeism. We hope that these insights will support policy makers and employers with new perspectives on how to enhance the productivity of their populations. #ExerciseRight

12.01.2022 VERY IMPORTANT TO BE AWARE EXERCISE IS A MUST IN YOUR LIFE .

11.01.2022 We all know how to protect ourselves from Coronavirus - social distancing, frequent handwashing and wearing a face mask. But we also need to focus on boosting o...ur IMMUNE SYSTEM! A study of the link between physical activity and the bodys defense system found that EXERCISE can improve your immune system response, lower illness risk and reduce inflammation. Acute exercise (moderate to vigorous intensity lasting less than 1 hour) increases circulation of immune cells, making them roam the body at a higher rate and at higher numbers. These cells are important as they wipe out viruses. Participants in the study who did a 45 minute brisk walk, experienced the increase of immune cells for up to three hours after the walk. This response will eventually go away though so the key to an illness-clearing immune system is regular, ongoing exercise. 09.01.2022 Those of us who exercise regularly are much less likely to develop clinical depression than sedentary people, even if we inherited an elevated risk for the cond...ition, according to a large-scale new study. The researchers found if someone spent at least three hours a week participating in physical activity, whether it was vigorous, like jogging, or more gentle, like walking or Pilates, they were less likely to become depressed than sedentary people. The risk fell another 17% for each additional 30 minutes of physical activity performed each day. The researches concluded that their results "suggest that individuals with high genetic vulnerability are more likely to avoid incident episodes of depression if they are physically active."

03.01.2022 This is very true!

03.01.2022 This is great to have something set out for kids have a look and PLEASE implement the guidelines if you are a coach/parent STAY ACTIVE , FITNESS BY ART.

03.01.2022 Strength training is often forgotten about. Although approximately half of Australian adults get 150 minutes of physical activity each week, only 15% meet the N...ational Strength Training Guidelines. Strength training not only helps to make you stronger and more mobile, it can also increase bone density which reduces your risk of osteoporosis. Doing regular resistance training can also help with weight management. To maintain health, it is recommended that those aged 18 - 64 do strength training exercises at least twice each week. Sadly, only half of Australian universities teaching our future doctors about these guidelines. If youd like to learn how to start strength training safely, talk to your GP about a referral to one of our team!
