24.01.2022 Thank you to all our VIC members for their patience as we worked through the initial reopening restrictions. Following the latest State Government COVID-Safety advice we are returning closer to normal starting November 23, restrictions will be further eased to allow the following in our VIC Clubs: - 100 people in the gym at a time. - Up to 20 people capacity for Group Fitness classes (maintaining a 1 person per 4sqm rule - the exact capacity will vary based on Group Fitness and Cycle studio sizes in your club). - Bookings remain in place, but with a much greater capacity and an increase to 55 minutes per session. - Bookings can be made for 1 session per day, however we are now allowing double session booking manually at club reception on the day, pending availability.

We know how tough and as a community we’re overjoyed to be coming out the other side together, we’ve got this! We can’t wait to see you back in club on November 9 and continue supporting you all in your fitness journeys! VIC Clubs will be operating differently to other States to adhere to the VIC Government COVID Safe Plan. Hygiene and safety measures are more important than ever..., please review our new procedures here and be mindful of social distancing whilst in Club: https://www.fitnessfirst.com.au//when-will-victoria-gyms-/ Before we reopen our club doors on November 9, please be aware of the following: - Club capacity is limited to 20 people (2 x rooms with a maximum of 10 people per room): this means VIC members will have to book general gym floor access (including free weights, cardio machines, stretch areas etc.). Sessions are limited to 45 minutes. - Bookings must also be made for Group Fitness Classes, which are capped at 10 people per class. - Bookings can be made for the 6 days and 23 hours in advance (e.g. if you want to book a spot on November 11 at 4pm, you will be able to book this on November 4 at 5pm), with a maximum of 7 sessions per week. - Lockers, Showers and Change Rooms will be open in VIC, but please note that use of these facilities is included in the 45 minute session time. - 24/7 access is not available in VIC clubs. - Club opening times are based on staffed hours, please see your local club page here: https://www.fitnessfirst.com.au/find-a-club/ - Pools, Saunas, Steam Rooms and Play Zone remain closed at this stage. - All members must bring, or hire, a towel to train. - Please wear your face mask when entering or exiting the club or when you are not exercising. In line with the latest easing of restrictions from the State Government we'll be making the following changes to Group Exercise classes: - From Tuesday, December 8, class capacities will increase (allowing for 1 person per 4sqm). Our booking system will be updated to reflect accurate numbers per studio, so please check your local club. - The physical barriers dividing Side A and Side B in studios will be removed and you are invited to stand on a dot a...nywhere in the room. The booking portal will continue to show A and B sides until December 17 when we update the system. - Members can now book a maximum of 2 Group Fitness Class bookings in one day. - All other booking and class processes remain in place. A friendly reminder that social distancing remains in place, so please do not share equipment, bring your own mat (floor work is back on in classes!) and ensure you get your name marked off at the beginning of class.
