10.01.2022 Chin-ups! Chin-ups! Chin-ups! Chin-ups are undoubtedly one of The Toughest Exercises to master. They look like hard work, and they are!... ...and, they're sooo great as an exercise - sooo many benefits - your back, shoulders, biceps & core all get a full-on workout, it's H.I.I.T (High Intensity Interval Training) to the Max, your cardio system is fully pumping....and most of all, it's a matter of mastering your mindset to keep going. Chin-ups can be performed to at least some degree by most able bodied individuals. Many gyms these days have an apparatus called the assisted chin-up (or pull-up) machine - they are very adjustable in the amount of 'resistance you are lifting' due to assistance that can be given in terms of how much 'help' you can access from the machine. If you're keen to try Chin-ups and your gym has one, give it a go - it's The Coolest Feeling when you touch your chin above the bar that first time Then, there's full Chin-Ups, where it's just you lifting your own body weight!....or, you can add extra weight if you're super strong!
