Decor: When considering the décor of your boardroom, be sure to avoid "trendy" colours and keeping things too bland by painting everything white. White particularly looks bad during conference calls and it gives the entire space a sterile feel much like a hospital. Stick to muted, neutral tones to give your boardroom the most professional look with understated elegance. Colours like taupe, pale blue, pale green or grey are all great options to keep things focused on business, rather than the space itself. It will also be easiest to find matching furniture by taking this approach. Lighting: Consider how to position the lighting in the room. Overhead lighting is usually the most effective, and with the installation of dimmer switches, you can make the lights as bright or subtle as you need.
