17.01.2022 Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service intends to conduct planned burn activities on Fitzroy Island National Park between 8th and 10th September (subject to suitable weather). During the planned burn the following areas will be closed to public access: Summit walking track... Lighthouse walking track The duration of planned burn is expected to be 1 - 3 days, however the walking tracks will be re-opened earlier if the area is deemed safe by QPWS personel. Normal access will be facilitated to the Resort area and Nudey Beach and Secret Garden walking tracks. For further information please go to https://parks.des.qld.gov.au/park-alerts/20269
