05.01.2022 When cutting thread, it’s important to remove ALL swarf from the work area. When this Pressfit shell was tapped with a T47 (47mm x 1.0mm thread pitch) the swarf was left behind to first block the frames drainhole, which filled with water and allowed small metal particles to enter the back of the bearings and wear them out prematurely.
