20.01.2022 Students! We miss you :( So much in fact, that we've gone ahead and recorded all of the patterns from basic through to koryo from our lounge-rooms and backyards. You get to see us in our isolation glory, just so we feel a little closer until things get back to something like normal. Have a look at our website (www.fctaekwondo.com.au) and check out the new page, Student resources.... Enjoy! Hannah

19.01.2022 We are live again tonight and tomorrow (Weds and Thurs) at 5 on our main club page for some more drills to keep you occupied. After Easter we'll be back with more live training sessions and we're working on videos for the website. We miss taekwondo too :(... Stay well and we'll keep in touch Hannah

19.01.2022 Good morning everyone! Did you get a chance to catch our head instructor Flan's live stream last night? If you didn't it's well worth a look, you get an update about the intentions for returning to training for the club as a whole and some excellent training content from he and Chloe :) Please be aware that there will be some variation between branches as to how and when we return as we are very dependent on the requirements laid out by our venues.... Happy training! Hannah

18.01.2022 We have classes returning as of tomorrow! Just... not Hobart :( Here's a bit of info for what you may expect when you show up to one of our venues. There will be no handshakes or self defence for the foreseeable future and students are strongly encouraged to wash hands and/or use hand sanitiser before and after class. Thanks for your cooperation, H

11.01.2022 Hi everyone. Good news - the hall is getting a makeover! Bad news - it's starting in the last week of term :( This means we will be finishing up one week early and our last lesson for term three is this Thursday, 19th of September. Get yourselves along this week so I can see your darling little faces one last time before finish. See you there! Hannah

10.01.2022 CLASS RESUMPTION Hi all, due to the COVID-19 restrictions faced by our facilities manager, we are unable to lease our Lenah Valley hall for the remainder of the year. We have been assured that hall hire will resume in the new year and can expect to return to training in February. Whilst this is disappointing and means a significant break from training for all of us - longest for twenty years for me! - it's not an insurmountable obstacle in your taekwondo journey. You can sti...ll look forward to more training, more gradings and ticking more goals off your list. I will be in touch with current students over the remainder of our break and will be doing everything possible to make sure 2021 is a strong year for all of us. Insurance paid for this year will carry over to 2021. I hope you are all well and everyone is keeping up with their fitness because February promises to be a big one! Hannah

10.01.2022 Lenah Valley training arrangements for Term 3: Hi everyone. Hoping you're all well, it's been so long! Currently, there is no plan for Lenah Valley to return to training for Term 3 for a couple of reasons:... a) Instructor is heavily pregnant and expecting a baby any day, and b) There isn't a plan in place from the school for hall hire at this point. I'm hoping we can return to training in term 4, but we'll see where the world is at a bit closer to that time. Classes will look different but it will still be taekwondo, just more covid-safe :) There has been a collective effort from all the instructors to get as many classes up and running and provide material for you in the meantime. Make sure you check in with the main club page and website for tutorials and live sessions. Stay well, Hannah

10.01.2022 We've been training hard all year and now it's time to celebrate (and grade!) Grading will be held on Tuesday the 17th of December, kick off at 6:00pm. $25 per student, bring your grading books! Come along and support your fellow students, even if you are not grading. It's been an amazing year for Hobart and I'd love to celebrate with you. Afterwards we will have our customary end of year party. Bring a plate to share, taekwondo themed food always scores bonus points. See you there, Hannah

07.01.2022 Congratulations Hobart on a strong grading across the board. My stand out group was our orange belts, great job guys. Gold stars to all the parents and students who catered our taekwondo themed after party. This year we had so many amazing students that I couldn't decide who should be our student of the year... so I picked two! Azaria from our junior class and Liam from our seniors. They both had their eye on the prize this year and it showed with strong improvements in their... precision and technique. Thanks for being such a strong and supportive club. Have a wonderful break and I'll see you all back next year, February 11. Hannah
