25.01.2022 Update Works are well under way on the GRP4 Millington build.... Factory rear tubs have been fully removed and 15 tubs installed. This car will be running 15x9’s on the rear so maximum space is a must. This car will be running Reiger suspension all round so rear turrets have also been installed, finished off with some tarmac alloy arches for ultimate clearance.... Fabrication of the rear parcel shelve in the next scope of works along with start of 4 link boxes followed by tunnel works. Reminder that all fabrication works are done in-house. 22.01.2022 UPDATE Few progress pictures of the Mk2 track car that’s in for its restoration back to a street car. With formerly being a circuit car the front panel had been modified to house what looked like a commodore radiator to aid cooling. Once stripped and chats with the customer we’ve decided to go down the route of a 2.0L pinto large 70mm core radiator. For this we’ve had to straighten inner guards and replace radiator side panels. Once blasted it uncovered some nasty old s...chool bronzing and a rotten/weak section due to no priming and body sealer. Inner guard fully repaired and metal finished before factory spot welds carried out with inners stitched with the MIG. At Flash Motorsport it is critical to carry out works correctly not only to retain structural strength but also a lasting repair! Many shops will not show the stages of works, only a Before & After It is paramount to show not only the customer but others the level of attention we carry out with zero corners cut. Now for some gussets to support the radiator the a nice coat of acid primer before seam sealer to keep the water out for a long lasting repair. More updates to come. Thanks for following! 20.01.2022 Parts Delivery Just a few of the quality parts that arrived in the shop today from our friends at GRP4 Fabrications Galway for our group 4 Millington build. A reminder that all fabrication works are undertaken in house and not subcontracted out. This gives us full control of our timescales and 100% customer communication with vehicles progress, also gives our respected customers access to visit their car at any point in the build to get up close and see production undert...aken on their pride and joy! 14.01.2022 RS 2000 We’ve currently got this genuine RS in the shop to undergo some rust repairs before getting a full re-spray. This car is in very nice original condition with all factory trim in and out, even looking under the bonnet is like a step back in time with everything like it was when it left the factory at the end of the 70’s. ... The customer was lucky to pick up such an original car and we are delighted to be asked to carry out the lasting repairs required to keep this iconic car on the road. For our overseas followers this four door RS might be an odd sight, but to the Australian market this was a factory option and is now becoming a very desirable car. 10.01.2022 All systems go at Adrian Stratford Motorsport getting ready for round 3 of the Vic championship

06.01.2022 UPDATE After a weekend of Motorsport it’s back to to the shop to continue work on the Millington build. Enclosing of the turrets, parcel shelf extension, and removable alloy firewall. 1.5mm steel used in the ends to ensure strength for bulkhead fitting for fuel and dry sump lines. The rest done in 1mm steel and alloy to keep the weight down. Removable alloy panel folded to keep the strong look throughout the car with alloy spacers to prevent crushing, ribbed and stam...ped for strength. New custom boot floor with rebait so the spare wheel sits nice, secure and level ready for strap mounts. Raised boot floor with tank base all mounted and welded off. Future works will be continuation of the boot build and rear inner wheel wells. 06.01.2022 Welcome all, Flash Motorsport is a new automotive workshop to Melbourne’s west launching in January 2021. I will be offering a wide range of works form every day road cars logbook servicing and maintenance, race and rally car preparation for various forms of Motorsport as well as offering a fabrication and welding service. I will also be offering a panel work element, wheel refurbishment as well as manufacturing my own race equipment/ tooling to make days out on the stages a...nd tracks a little easier and safer. Currently under going (but not restricted to) GRP4 Ford Escort builds using the best products on the market as well as street versions and maintenance on various makes and models of cars competing in rally, drift and autocross and more. I can help with any car from father son autocross’s clubman racing to state level competition, Flash Motorsport knows every level of motorsport is fun so no judgement here. I pride myself on quality and all works preformed in a fully insured premises with cctv security to ensure customers pride and joys are safe and secure.
