25.01.2022 Today is a day for cake. Happy 30th Anniversary to our Ulysses group - long may you ride!

24.01.2022 Situated on the outskirts of Barmera in South Australia's Riverland, we offer regional food, light seasonal lunches as well as great coffee and cake. Enjoy some Rivertime in our rustic vintage inspired cafe or out on the wisteria covered verandah while you sit, chat and relax.

24.01.2022 Heading out to the Woolshed Brewery tomorrow? You will find a great range of Riverland produce to buy including our Bread Bites, Dips and Chutneys. Another chance to eat local.

23.01.2022 Happy Sunday everyone and welcome back to daylight saving. Nearly all the flowers have gone but we are left with a beautiful shade canopy for the verandah. Just the place to sit and enjoy the view while you sip on a coffee. And.... don't forget - we have an extensive range of gourmet Riverland products available for sale so come and see what the Riverland has to offer.

23.01.2022 Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to our family, friends and the many customers at Flavours of the Riverland who have become our friends. Relax, be merry and stay safe and we look forward to 2021 when we can catch up for a cuppa under better circumstances, with a bit of luck. We will be open daily from Sunday to New Years eve, 10am to 3pm.

23.01.2022 Poppies all planted and looking fantastic. Thanks to all our helpers - we couldn't have done it without you. Now we are back into the swing of things after our break and have lots of new stock coming in ready for the Christmas rush. Our Riverland dried fruit producers have outstanding quality products for you to share with family and friends. So why not pay us a visit soon, relax with coffee and cake or a light lunch, see our poppy display and have a look at our range of delicious foodie gifts.

22.01.2022 Have you seen our wisteria yet? In one week from nothing to this, I wonder what the next week will bring with the warmer weather we are having. It's worth a trip to Barmera!

22.01.2022 This is our final weekend as owners of Flavours of the Riverland and Backyard Bread. What a ride it has been coming from bare bones to now. Thanks for being part of our story.

21.01.2022 Today is a Golden North Day. Sit on the verandah underneath the wisteria dripping with flowers and enjoy a Golden North icecream or iced drink. Bliss!!

21.01.2022 Amazing night photo thanks Trev. If you haven't taken the opportunity to see the display at night it is worth the drive. Thanks also to Neville at Barmera Electronics for the lighting - I think we have finally got it right. Display coming down on Wednesday morning if anyone would like to help.

20.01.2022 Happy Birthday to our Barista, Baker and all round handy guy. We hope the year ahead is memorable for all the right reasons.

20.01.2022 Planning our Father's Day. As we have limited room inside with the current restrictions and who knows what the weather is going to be, we ask that you please book to avoid disappointment. Details below.

19.01.2022 Along with our Winter Warming menu we have some great looking, locally grown veg for you to buy. We are cosy warm and dry so why not come for a cuppa.

19.01.2022 Lovely to have the Legacy ladies return for morning tea.

17.01.2022 Thanks Royce. Always a delight to have the Ulysses folk in to keep us on our toes. Bill loved his ride - thought it was a bit close to the ground until his Dad got him closer.

17.01.2022 Sorry everyone - we will be closed for the next week with the new Covid restrictions. Lets all do the right thing and get through this as quickly as we can. See you soon.

16.01.2022 Happy sunny Sunday!!! Come in and enjoy the beautiful sunshine and wisteria while sipping the best coffee in town! :)

15.01.2022 Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there and especially those that are working on their special day. Have a great day.

12.01.2022 Happy New Year everyone. We hope 2021 is a much safer, happier and less dramatic year for us all. Closed tomorrow and then returning to normal trading from Saturday.

12.01.2022 Today is a coffee and cake day. We will be having a limited lunch menu only.

11.01.2022 Dave and Heidi Setchell have been busy rebranding their products from The Mallee Caper Company to Black Sheep Produce. We have just stocked up with their new look range so why not come and try more great Riverland products.

11.01.2022 What a beautiful Riverland morning! Everything is looking fresh from the rain and we had a carpet of flowers when we arrived at work this morning. The leaves are already appearing so it won't be long and all the flowers will have finished. It is spectacular so don't leave it too long to visit if you are wanting to see nature's display.

10.01.2022 Thanks Eat Local SA for promoting all that is good about South Australian food and supporting the small food businesses.

10.01.2022 Horra grows great pumpkins, including a 25kg blue that we have on display to celebrate pumpkins. Try our spiced pumpkin cake, pumpkin soup served with our pumpkin bread, vegetable medley or take a pumpkin home to make your own winter warmers. Good job Horra!!

10.01.2022 Good morning everyone. It is with mixed emotion that we are finally able to announce that we have sold our business with our last trading days being next weekend. The new owners will take over in time for Easter and we urge you to show them the same support as you have shown us, to enable them to progress this business to the next level. We thank you all for your support and friendship, we have had many laughs along the way and have worked hard to promote the Riverland and all that it has to offer. It is now time for us to take a break, have family time and enjoy moving into our new house in Barmera (Peter says Cobby East!!). See you down the street.

09.01.2022 OOPS!!! I have mixed up my dates - it's NEXT SUNDAY. So excited to have some live Christmas music on Sunday morning between 1030 and 1130 thanks to a group of local musos called Random Notes. Should be a great addition to our Sunday which is always a lot of fun.

07.01.2022 Don't forget to ring and book for Father's Day next Sunday if you are wanting to come along. We will be cutting off bookings at end of trade on Friday so don't leave it to the last minute to book.

07.01.2022 Are you missing the Royal Adelaide Show and the showbags? We have produced our own Flavours of the Riverland bag which you can purchase and fill up with all our region's great gourmet food. Good idea for Christmas ( I know we don't want to think about that yet but...) or a special gift. The sturdy jute bag is lined and has soft grip handles that won't bite your hands when you have a full bag to carry. ...and the best bit is they have been printed right here in the Riverland, keeping it local.

07.01.2022 Great weather for our Christmas tunes on the deck this morning between 1030and 1130. Please note our trading hours until the New Year below.

06.01.2022 We are back on deck after the latest lockdown and although there is a hot couple of days ahead, we will be nice and cool. Delicious cakes, light lunches, plenty of cold drinks and Golden North icecreams to help get you through. I wonder what summer has in store for us!!

06.01.2022 Fresh sourdough bread available today ready for Christmas. Dark Rye and Plain.

05.01.2022 Now stocking a new little travel mug in three great colours. Ceramic inner with a full silicone sleeve (so no hot spots) easy to hold, good sized spout. A great mug for those who find holding a normal coffee mug difficult. Microwave and dishwasher safe.

05.01.2022 Good to see our Member for Chaffey out and about seeing what the Riverland has to offer. We are proudly Riverland, support our regional growers and producers and welcome tourists to the area every day, encouraging them to enjoy what we take for granted.

05.01.2022 New range from Maine Beach has finally reached us and is selling fast. Kakadu Plum has an exquisite perfume and is available in the perfumed reeds, soy candle, room spray hand wash and hand cream. A great addition to our Riverland Orange range which is all topped up for Christmas giving.

04.01.2022 We have decided to remain closed for the remainder of this weekend, especially as we have another 40C day on Sunday. Reopening on Friday with the Covid restrictions in place, which for us means groups of up to10 only, customers must be seated to consume food and drinks, strict social distancing and 1 person/4 sq metres, which is pretty much what we have now. Please help us out by booking if you are wanting to come in for a meal in the lead up to Christmas.

04.01.2022 Well folks - that's a wrap. On a final note we will be planting poppies for Anzac Day on Monday the 19th April from 11am. We would love to see as many volunteers as possible come along and give us a hand, with even more poppies to put in than last time. A great tribute to everyone who has been involved over the years.

04.01.2022 Salad days are back and so is the Orange and Poppy Seed Dressing from our near neighbours at Robinvale Estate just across the border. Just add some Riverland oranges to your mix for a delicious and light salad.

03.01.2022 Florentines are back - have you been missing Susanna's delicious biscuits? Susanna's business, Off the Block, supplies us with jams and marmalade as well. Time for a coffee and a biscuit.

02.01.2022 Our Anzac soldier now has a twin, thanks to Cameron Morelli from here in Barmera and the folk at Kangarilla. So pleased that the Remembrance tradition is growing with these wonderful monuments being a part of the story.

02.01.2022 Oh dear!!! Our phone line has been cut.To contact us please try Peter's mobile no. 0437815530 or leave a message on Facebook. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.
