16.01.2022 FUEL MIX-UP AT BP ALICE SPRINGS Motorists who filled up with diesel at Alice City BP service station on Monday afternoon are being warned that they may have be...en sold premium unleaded fuel instead. This statement from a spokesperson for the service station: We have become aware that premium unleaded fuel was discharged into one of our diesel tanks during a fuel delivery to the Alice City BP service station on Monday afternoon. When the problem was discovered, we immediately locked these bowsers so that no more fuel from this tank was sold. During the period of the error, we estimate that between 50 and 60 diesel customers bought fuel. More than half of these customers were our own fuel card customers. We know the identities of these people and have been contacting all of them individually and offering assistance. We ask that other customers who purchased diesel at this site between 1.30pm on Monday and 11.15am on Tuesday contact us on 1300 723 706.
