17.01.2022 PARRAMATTA NETWORKING GROUP GETS A BUSINESS LAW LESSON Lessons for business owners on interpreting taxation, work health and safety, licensing, contact and comp...etition law featured at today’s Local Area Marketing & Networking Group Parramatta meeting. The keynote address by Etienne Lawyers Chairman, Steven Brown, was part of the Group’s Small Business Knowledge Program. Case studies illustrated the differences between ‘black letter law’ and ‘fuzzy law’ and how legal compliance is not open to negotiation, even if a business has ‘inadvertently’ made a mistake based on incorrect information from a government authority. Steven emphasised the important of getting legal advice at business set-up stage to avoid costly problems down the track. Parramatta group also had its first live Business INSIGHT interview for a new YouTube channel. Tutor Hadar Bensaul, described her difficult personal and health challenges, her battle with depression and anxiety and her life re-start with a new business, Brilliant Learning Solutions, an English language tutoring business for adults and children. The INSIGHTS are a component of a relationship building focus emphasising the importance of business storytelling to build relationships based on trust. This a key factor in creating business referral and collaboration opportunities. Parramatta group’s 15 April meeting is scheduled as a face-to-face session (Venue tba). The next Knowledge Program - Business Sustainability and Profitability, will be a breakfast meeting hosted by Penrith group on Thursday 25 March.
