14.01.2022 Our Client based at Larapinta is one of Australia’s largest suppliers of steel and they are currently on the search for a Slitter Operator to join their team! If you are mechanically minded and are looking for a long term role where you can showcase those skills you have learnt over the years then this is for you! It's a chance to be a part of a supportive team in a well known company! Location: Larapinta... Starting: ASAP! Duration: Ongoing (no really it is...) Hours: Monday to Thursday = 2.30pm 11.00pm. Friday = 12.00pm 6.00pm. Pay (the important part!): Dayshift: $26.49 Afternoon Shift: $30.46 + OT + Super What are you gonna be doing? This job will see you operating a steel slitting machine or shear line The Slitter will cut the steel sheet into strands of nominated thicknesses. It will process small to medium scaled material with 100% precision You will also be required to assist with moving the finished product by forklift to a holding station for the warehouse to store it There will be other duties such as other production duties, housekeeping etc. What do we need from you? Previous machine operating experience is a distinct advantage, if you have previous Slitter Operator experience then that's even better! Previous overhead crane experience would be great! You must have a current Forklift License You will require your own reliable transport to get to and from work. You need a good can-do attitude, the willingness to want to learn and succeed!
