21.01.2022 IDAHOBIT Today is International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia! To our queer community at Flinders, and across Australia, you are loved , you are seen , and you are supported !... 30 years ago today, the World Health Organisation removed homosexuality from the classification of disease/health-related problems. No matter who you are, or your identity, human rights are your rights, and it's imperative to celebrate the bravery of those who have fought for LGTBQ+ rights! If you feel like you're missing out on a typical IDAHOBIT event due to the current social circumstances, we highly encourage you to check our South Australian Rainbow Advocacy Alliance Inc's online event later today, find it HERE --> https://www.facebook.com/events/261750928306746/

20.01.2022 Shout Out to our Non-binary Pals Friendly reminder that there’s no such thing as looking non-binary. Non-binary people choose present however they want, and not all of them choose to present androgynous. Non-binary pals who dress femme or masc and use gendered pronouns are just as valid and important as those who to dress androgynous you and use gender neutral pronouns.

20.01.2022 April 26th was Lesbian Visibility Day! Lesbians make up such an important part of the Queer Community, and they face a large amount of erasure from both mainstream and queer media. So we've made these graphics to show our support of all types, genders and pronouns! #queer #lgbtq #lesbian #lesbianvisibilityday #gay #wlw #visibilitymatters

10.01.2022 Happy International Non-Binary People’s Day from SARAA [Video transcript: Hey everyone, I’m Varo from the South Australian Rainbow Ad...vocacy Alliance and I just want to wish you all a happy International Non-Binary People’s Day! Today falls right in the middle of International Men’s Day and International Women’s Day and for me that really goes some way toward representing what it means to be non-binary. That is, identifying as neither male, nor female, but as something else altogether. Whether that be having no gender, multiple genders or a fluid gender identity. Our world is really divided into binaries of male and female, and for me I’ve never really felt like I fit into either of those boxes. There’s so many ways that our society can be more inclusive of gender diverse people, whether that be using our pronouns, offering gender neutral facilities or using gender inclusive language. So to our allies out there, I really want to challenge you to take today and every day to think about how gender impacts our society and how we can be more inclusive of people who are gender diverse. And lastly to all of our gender diverse friends, be it non-binary, gender queer, gender fluid today is yours, so have a great day! You are loved, you are seen, and know that the South Australian Rainbow Advocacy Alliance will always be advocating for your rights. Happy International Non-Binary People’s Day!]
