16.01.2022 Three key components of team defense are COMMUNICATION, LINE SPEED and SPACING. Here is a closed drill that will help your players improve in these areas. Comm...unication - Every player should be talking and listening to the players either side of them to ensure they don't leave any holes in the defensive line, and are clear about who is responsible for tackling each attacking player. Line Speed - After the Play the Ball, the first 3-5 steps should be quick and direct to take space away from the attacking team. Spacing - Players should maintain even spacing between them and the other players in the line. The aim is to cover the width of the field without being too far away from the players either side of them.

10.01.2022 Today we honour our veterans, We remember those both past and present, without favour of religion or race, whether active duty or discharged, retired or reserv...e, we honour those who wrote a blank cheque payable to 'Australia' up to and including the ultimate sacrifice of his or her life. We thank our current serving members and their families, at home and abroad, for their sacrifice to give us the freedoms we have today. They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them. Lest we forget.

08.01.2022 Tackle Triangle is a simple little activity that allow your older players to practice their 2 on 1 tackle technique and communication in contact. It also allows... them to practice running in to contact, securing the ball and finding their elbow and knees which helps to achieve a quick play the ball. This activity is more suitable for older players, where controlling the ball and and slowing down the play the ball becomes more important.
