24.01.2022 Hello everyone! Do you want to be involved in the running of the Flinders University Surgical Society? Do you want to help and inspire future medical students to go on to a career in surgery? Then apply for a position on the Senior Committee with FUSS! Deadlines are as follows: Nominations open TOMORROW (22/10) at MIDDAY. Nominations close Wednesday 28/10 at midday. Voting opens Thursday 29/10 at midday.... Voting closes Thursday 5/11 at midday. Positions will be announced at the AGM in November - the exact date for which will be posted shortly. We strongly encourage anyone to apply, even if you aren't currently a committee member. 08.01.2022 A massive thankyou to everyone for coming along to our Welcome Week Lunch! Judging from the sheer quantity of pasta and garlic bread consumed we think it was a huge success. Shout out to MDA National for coming along and bringing goodies! It was really great to see all of the excited MD1s at the beginning of their medical journeys. Stay tuned for more details on our next awesome event: Suture Night, where you will learn how to stitch up your mates*.... *Figuratively, please do not try to suture your friends.

06.01.2022 Some "people" like to think that Medcamp is purely a social experience, and that you can't possibly have a fun (but not necessarily painless) weekend AND learn at the same time. President Justin Smith and Vice President Amir Norozi did their best to prove that idea wrong with their suturing station at Medcamp this weekend, with the invaluable help from MD4s Sunny Patil, Emily Harcourt Smith, and Craig Robert (thank you hugely ) We hope all MD1s who took part enjoyed the small, scrumptious, tongue-tip taste of suturing, and strongly recommend our upcoming Suture Night event to everyone, even if you weren't there on Saturday morning! I can 100% guarantee it'll be far more memorable this time around
