19.01.2022 For something different for breakfast that will warm the soul. Enjoy Semolina Pudding This pudding is something my mum used to make for breakfast when I was a young fella and it was the only breakfast pudding I liked and an alternative to what I call the Anglo rolled oats breakfast porridge. It is tasty and very easy to put together and cook. ... Serves 4 600 ml full cream milk 1 cup caster sugar 1 ts ground cinnamon Zest of 1 small lemon 1 cup semolina Method First bring your milk up to temperature with the sugar, lemon zest and cinnamon. Once the milk looks to be coming to the boil slowly start adding the semolina and stirring with a rubber spatula or a fine whisk, you don’t want lumps. If you do get a few lumps then turn the heat right down and add some more warm milk or even hot water, whisk quickly. Serve hot in a bowl and sprinkle a bit more sugar and cinnamon on top, this will give you a crusty layer that makes a little crack as you eat this delicious pudding. Chefs Note: You can add whatever you like as extra topping, perhaps some of the Flirtatious Food products like the spiced fruit compote, our crunchy granola, or local honey and fresh berries.
