25.01.2022 Lunch: 8/118. So close now!

25.01.2022 Week 1 vs SKLP has the Seahorses in a strong position. Batted the full 70 overs to finish at 8/283. Impressive 92 to Jamie Pickles was the highlight of the day.

24.01.2022 End of Day 1. 10/257

24.01.2022 Reasonable start Week 1 with a very important and classy 92 from the stand in Skipper, James Flexman and a VERY entertaining 48 from Michael Smith. Seahorses with 211 runs to defend.

23.01.2022 Craig Nolan plays GAME 200 this weekend vs. Dianella at Light Street Reserve. Craig has not only been a club stalwart as a player, but also as an admistrator. Safe to say he has been the heartbeat of the club for many years so we cant wait to repay his service with a big win! Big Game, Seahorses. Lets get it done for the Pres!

23.01.2022 The Floreat Hellenic Cricket Club are delighted to announce that Flat Rate Settlements have signed on for the next two seasons as our newest MAJOR SPONSORS! More sponsorship announcements to follow!... #seehellenicsflyup

22.01.2022 Booked the Grandy inside day 1 of the Semi! Huge credits to Matthew Nowotny-Walsh and James D'Angelo for taking 4 wickets each and putting us in control early. Week off will be greatly received and we'll be ready to go on Saturday 20th March.... Carn Seahorses!!

22.01.2022 Round 2 Results A rained out game prevented 2nd Grade from getting a game in so they share the points with Bayswater Postals. 3rd Grade managed almost a full game (38 over innings) and secured their first win scoring 9/188 defeating Leederville 164!

22.01.2022 Back on the winner's list! 83 run win over Middle Swan with a very well compiled 60 from Jamie Pickles and 5 overs, 3/17 to Tom Mahoney.

21.01.2022 Our thoughts are with the family of Julien McMahon and with the Scarborough Sharks and Leeming Spartans Cricket Clubs. We had the pleasure of playing against Julien over the last few seasons. He was a ripper bloke, on field and off. Very sad news.

20.01.2022 Congratulations to Aaron Morrison for being voted in as the 2019/20 Captain. Great work Munchy!!

19.01.2022 Big weekend for the Seahorses, 2/2. On Saturday, we successfully chased down Leederville's 203 to hit 290 to win the last 2-Day fixture of 2019. Today we managed to keep Coolbinia to a modest 114 and chased it 5 down in 27 overs.

19.01.2022 2/2!! 2nd Grade have an impressive 51 run win over Coolbinia with 45 runs to Craig Lynch and 3 wickets to James DAngelo. 3rd Grade had a big outright win vs Scarborough, with a notable 5-for in the first innings to Aaron Morrison and a 55 to Sam Pike in the 2nd innings.... Starting 2019 in style!! Well done nikits!

19.01.2022 http:///// The WACA & CA have officially called the season complete! ///// Good morning to All, PANDEMIC- as described from the Australian concise Oxford dictionary-...(disease)- prevalent over the whole of a country or over the world. As a passionate player and current administrator of the game I truly love, admire and respect we as a community see ourselves in uncharted waters with the current virus effecting not just our community but nation and the world around us. Decisions are made in collaboration with all stakeholders and with the utmost care and diligence based on a range of information, data, expertise and risk management. As we are beginning to understand the transmission and effect of the Coronavirus (or COVID-19) can have a catastrophic effect, in particular on the elderly, and infant children to a lesser extent. We as Australians consider our way of life and our medical system as good as any in the world and when we as individuals need its assistance from time to time for ourselves or a family member it is always there and available to us without too much hesitation or delay. Current data circulated across a number of social media platforms throughout the world today indicate a delay in the intervention of isolation and containment of COVID-19 can potentially have a catastrophic effect for those who are potentially most vulnerable in our community. We as a cricket community have many vulnerable people around us - they are know to us and involved at some level either as a player, umpire, administrator, spectator or club volunteer. To place any of our cricket community- male or female at the risk of contracting or transmitting the COVID-19 virus would be negligent, on behalf of myself and my fellow board members at PSCA and Cricketwest, if we were not to enforce the recommendations and advice to abandon the rest of our respective cricket competitions for season 2019-2020. I completely respect & understand we will have some very disappointed Clubs & players but to make decisions and play against all other advice from the peak body is just not an option we can proceed with. All other Cricket Associations will be cancelled so no further community cricket will be played - as of last week the season is now officially over. We will provide more information very shortly around the Premierships & Wind Up notification etc. Please take comfort in knowing this decision wasn’t made lightly and we were left with no other options what so ever, as my personal preference would always be to play cricket - the game we all love. I trust you will understand the circumstances and respect the direction taken. Michael Evans - President Perth Swan Cricket Association (PSCA) m. 0433 139 468 e. 19.01.2022 Game 3 vs Middle Swan A bit of an odd day 1, with FHCC bowling out Middle Swan for 141 with a lone contribution of 71 from D Susana from Middle Swan the only notable contribution. With 14 overs bowled against us, we find ourselves at 3/35. Will need to bat well on Saturday to get the points!

18.01.2022 3rd Grade SF underway. FHCC are batting, 1/71 after 37 overs

15.01.2022 With his 98 runs scored on the weekend, James Flexman becomes the first ever FHCC Seahorse to pass 4,000 career runs and has done so at the amazing average of 46.91. James has scored 6 centuries and 8 innings of 75 runs or higher with a top score of 168! Well done Jimbob!

15.01.2022 100 in the Semi Final and now 100 in the Grand Final. Amazing work from Jamie Pickles, the in-form batsman of the Association!! Hopefully the boys can get it done tomorrow with the ball, defending 257.

14.01.2022 Great win to the Seahorses on Saturday, with a 101 run win over Dianella. Stretch with a 5 bag haul this week. 9 wickets in two weeks for the big sturgeon. Look out!! #seehellenicsflyup

12.01.2022 It was mentioned last week that the Seahorses would be looking to bounce back after a tough week. And bounce back we did!! 2nd Grade bowled first and kept Coolbinia to a very modest 98 runs in 36 overs before chasing it down in only 16 overs, only 1 down!! 3rd Grade batted first and posted a whopping 339 runs from their 40 overs against Scarborough with 134 runs to Jamie Pickles and a 106 runs to James Flexman in a 225 run partnership!... Giddyup Seahorses, giddyup!!!!

11.01.2022 Unfortunately our 3rd Grade boys couldnt get the win despite only chasing a modest 158 on Day 2. A wet ground made conditions tough so they fell an agonising 10 runs short - the difference between 2nd and 3rd on the ladder. Regardless, the Semi Final looms as a big challenge with Leederville (who lost to FHCC only 2 games ago) will host at Britannia Reserve this coming Saturday and Sunday. They have a bar at the ground so come down and have a gander. We will post in this page the result of the toss and updates across the weekend.

11.01.2022 2 Day games this fixture. 2nd Grade scored 181 runs batting first and kept SKLP to a single run from the 3 overs bowled at the end of Day 1. 3rd Grade scored 311 with a big 112 from Tom Mahoney the highlight of the day. The boys also managed 3 wickets from their 8 overs at the end of Day 1.

10.01.2022 Winners are grinners!!! Floreat Hellenic 3rd Grade through to the Grand Final after posting an imposing 262 runs. To Leedervilles credit, their 217 runs in response made it a great weekend of cricket. Cmon Seahorses!!!!

08.01.2022 A tough week on the weekend with both sides going down by big margins. No doubt both teams will be looking to bounce back this coming weekend!

08.01.2022 3rd Grade this year lads. Lets get after it!

06.01.2022 The Floreat Hellenic Cricket Club has now obtained its Level 1 Accreditation with Good Sports. We are working towards building a family friendly environment and contributing to reducing alcohol and smoking related harm within the community.

06.01.2022 Early look at the fixtures has the Seahorses hosting Bayswater at Woodlands Reserve, 12th & 19th October! Time to start thinking about hiring some nets!

06.01.2022 http:///// BLUE BAILS DAY - SATURDAY 18 January 2020 ///// Blue Bails Day is a day to raise awareness for youth suicide (which is the biggest cause of death for youn...g men aged 15-45) across the Perth Swan Cricket Association. All players across the 12 grades will wear blue armbands, the bails for all matches will be blue and players and umpires will gather on the pitch just prior to the game in remembrance of anyone who may have taken their own life. The Perth Swan Cricket Association supports this day because we want to make a difference. We are inspired by the work that Beyond Blue does and want to support them. Every donation helps and makes a significant impact to mental health in Australia, so thank you for your generosity. We expect all clubs to raise at least $100 on the day, so we can reach our target of $3,100. Head over the the PSCAs fundraising page and hit the Donate button - https://beyondblue-individual.everydayhero.com//PSCA-Blue- Thank you for supporting Beyond Blue!

06.01.2022 A tough week for the Seahorses last week, with the 2nd Grade side going down to Mount Lawley and 3rd Grade losing to SKLP. Notable performances however to Matt Broom with a 74 and Aaron Morrison with a 62no. Looking to bounce back this weekend. Cmon Seahorses!

05.01.2022 Back on the winners list! 83 run win over Middle Swan with a very well compiled 60 from Jamie Pickles and 5 overs, 3/17 to Tom Mahoney.

05.01.2022 With his score of 11 today, Matty Broom brings up 7,000 Career runs. Congrats!

05.01.2022 2015-16 Metro One Day Grade PREMIERS!!

05.01.2022 With wicket number 306 being taken on Saturday, James "Stretch" D-Angelo becomes the equal leading wicket taker for the Floreat Hellenic Cricket Club, joining Mark Horsfall. As an opening, left arm swing bowler, Stretch has decimated many top and middle orders. The numbers below are clear proof! Wickets: 306... Matches: 109 Overs: 1397 Maiden Overs: 415 5-wicket-innings: 14 BBI: 9/51 Average: 11.32 Strike Rate: 27.41 Economy: 2.48 If you can, get down to support Stretch and the Seahorses at Woodlands Reserve this Saturday from 1pm. With a good decade of cricket ahead of him, we look forward to celebrating #400 in a few seasons time!

03.01.2022 Round 1 Results FHCC 2nd Grade 82 def by Mount Lawley 8/170 FHCC 3rd Grade 6/175 tied with SKLP 175

03.01.2022 Big weekend for the Seahorses, 2/2. On Saturday, we successfully chased down Leedervilles 203 to hit 290 to win the last 2-Day fixture of 2019. Today we managed to keep Coolbinia to a modest 114 and chased it 5 down in 27 overs.

02.01.2022 Day 1 this week saw two very similar results for the FHCC. 2nd Grade bowled Canning Vale out in the 75th over for 162. A good start for the 2nds guys. 3rd Grade bowled their full 75, taking nine wickets but conceding only 166 runs.... Both teams will be batting for the win next Saturday. Good luck Seahorses!

02.01.2022 GRAND FINAL DAY! Batting First!

01.01.2022 Not a bad way to bring up the 100!

01.01.2022 Last Round Game of 2018/2019 Season. Amazingly, 2nd Grade have already won their match, 1 week early, keeping Stirling to 121 runs and chasing it 3 down, in 28 overs! 5/21 off 9 overs to Michael Smith a nice way to round out the season. Unfortunately, 2nd Grade will not make finals this season. A full season recap to follow in the coming weeks so stay tuned. The battle for ladder positions in 3rd Grade makes this fixture particularly important for the guys. Chasing 158 this week, a win will secure them a top 3 position with other results potentially having an impact on final placings. Hamish Wilson took a very convincing 4/13 off 15 overs and a notable 1 stump direct hit run-out to Matt Thambiayah in his 100th game for the FHCC were the first innings highlights!
