20.01.2022 Flowers may not be an essential item on everyones shopping list at the moment. But like fruit, flowers are a perishable good so Id like to take this opportunity to explain to everyone what happens to these beauties if not needed and in this case 90% is not needed as there are no events around the world taking place..no weddings, no celebrations we are not even allowed to visit each other or new parents having babies.. therefore no need for flowers! I had a conversation with... one of our growers Yesterday who sell the best local grown roses around @bagala_bros_australia and I asked him what would you do with your roses if we go in to lock down and he said we will have to cut them and throw them because when they open thats it. They cannot save the flowers for the day we all reopen like clothing stores you see shutting their doors around you. They still need to keep staff to maintain their crops otherwise things will overgrow. What a shame. What a waste. While we are able to have our doors open we are able to support growers and suppliers at the markets. So I ask you this. While you are still able to come to the store to buy supplies, go to your local florist buy a bunch of flowers for your home..not only will you be able to enjoy these beauties by adding a pop of colour in these grey times but you will be showing support for an industry that really needs your help globally. #lethopebloom See more
