11.01.2022 Just me introducing myself...this is me & my two little girls (I now have another 4 month old little girl) taken two years ago now (I really need some new pics) by the lovely @sophiedayphoto I thought I’d introduce myself and tell you a little about Flow Kids. I am a Pilates teacher of 16 years and teach a beautiful little Kids Pilates class at Newport Public school on Friday afternoons (for four years pre-COVID). I often noticed just how hard it is for the children to car...ry their parents big, bulky mats along with their school bags. Often these mats had been stored in a garage and hadn’t been used for a while. That’s when I thought about designing a smaller sized mat, lighter with an easy to carry strap, that the child could call their own. A few little setbacks later and I was finally able to launch Flow Kids at the beginning of last year. Flow Kids is more than just smaller Yoga/Pilates mats. I want to teach and encourage everyone to nourish kids bodies and minds and set them up with a love of movement/mindfulness from an early age. That’s why I also give access to my Online Kids Pilates program @flowpilates_online for free with each mat purchased. I show all the designs for our mats to my kids first and let them have a say in what designs they like and don’t like so much...because who knows best what kids will like? For our original designs I collaborate with local artists to #supportlocal and celebrate their wonderful talent. And 5% of all our proceeds are donated to the wonderful @bear_cottage in the hope that we can help in some small way. I teach Kids Pilates classes in schools and the children have the tightest hamstrings from sitting in their school chairs a lot of the day...it’s really quite amazing as they are so young!
