24.01.2022 Finally gave this one a go. Nice sketchy run with @mtb_telly screaming at me to go faster from behind a bit of extra encouragement. Starting to get along with this killer bike #2020enduro #mtb #knarlymtb ... #flowstatedynamics #kersbrookmtbtrails See more

21.01.2022 Round two coming in hot This will be a great event for anyone looking to try out gravity enduro racing as these trails are far less technically demanding than what we usually race. Thinking of running a Flow State Dynamics/Knarly intro day the weekend before the race ... Nothing official just a chance to do a bit of pre riding and sessioning of the trails at prospect Hill with experienced racers in a group ride setting Who would be interested in that?

10.01.2022 Hey guys hope you have had a great start to your week Was really awesome to get back to racing this weekend just gone! So good seeing everyone again and the vibe was all time. I have had a little time to reflect and I wanna talk to you about mindset in racing. ... I'll start this by saying I actually had my worst placing so far since I've been in the expert category (21st place) even though I would say my riding skill is higher than its ever been I simply made some key errors with training too hard coming into the race and I really did choose the wrong bike for this course (which became painfully obvious once I rode my optic again yesterday ) These things are all within my control though so it's just information and feedback to make smarter choices next time It got me thinking though how the major thing I notice from a lot of racers after an event, is that they often tend to attach their self worth to the result. Now I have been down that road before and I can tell you it is a dangerous way of looking at your performance and it will suck the fun out of mountain biking quicker than anything else. A better way to look at it is using the result and stage times as a way to locate your strengths and weaknesses and use that to your advantage For example what can you control that could improve your experience? Some examples of things in your control are: -your attitude to the event -your preparation -timing of your training (did you allow yourself to taper down a bit?) -recovery in between stages -bike and tyre choice -did you have enough food and water? By focusing on aspects such as these you can find out what works for you over time This is much better than focusing on things that are out of your control like the skill level of others, the weather or not being on the podium. We define ourselves by our own personal growth experience not by comparing to others Just some food for thought I hope my fellow racers had a great day of racing too and can't wait to do it all again Photo credit: Aaron Barry

08.01.2022 This is going to be epic time to put all that training to work Now the question is do I race the rowdy little #norcooptic or the all coil beast mode #stumpjumperevo I reckon the coil is the go but would be interesting to put them B2B ... Can't wait! #knarlymtb #Repost @gravityenduro_sa Here it is... the course map for Round 1 of the @konabikesaus series Please don’t mess with any of the bunting and watch out for the bunting crew on the trails The gates into Eagle MTB Park will be open on Saturday for practice This is for parking purposes only - for the safety of all riders, please do not shuttle Gates open from 8am - 3pm. If your car is still in the park after 3pm, you will be locked in! 07.01.2022 Strong attack position Eyes up Heels dropped Pumping the backsides ... With a good body position even this little xc bike can shred rock gardens I think about this every time I enter a rough section and it's helped my confidence immensely! A good foundation will help you feel less of a passenger and more of a pilot How often do you think of this when you ride? What other techniques do you like to focus on to help you progress?

07.01.2022 I've decided to level up my skills and I'm taking you along for the ride. this first installment shows how repetition can be a great tool in the quest for back wheel mastery. the next parts will be more of a deep dive into progression enjoy! #mtbskills ... #30daywheeliechallenge #knarlymtb See more

05.01.2022 Have been a little quiet of late with a lot going on in day to day life. Looking forward to getting back in a bit of a rhythm but it has been good to have a bit of a rest. Sometimes it's exactly what you need to take a week or two off and re-evaluate your goals. I also developed a bit of repetitive strain injury at work so it seems my body was trying to tell me something. Feeling much better now ... Good chance to introduce my new Enduro rig the 2020 Specialized Enduro Comp over the moon with this bike and can't wait to get it properly dialed in this weekend. Looking forward to some more racing remember if you're keen to up your enduro fitness game I can design a custom workout schedule to meet your needs Let's get it!! #mtb #enduro #mtbfitness #knarlymtb #findyourflow https://www.instagram.com/p/CCt6we3nEET/?igshid=gda6mghpsmj2
