15.01.2022 Here we have painted the decks, handrails, pergolas, fascias, gutters and eaves, as well as the garage roller door of this brick home. This maintains the exterior surfaces, protecting them against the elements, as well as keeping the outside of the home looking crisp, fresh and clean.

07.01.2022 Some painting history.

06.01.2022 This is a previous project we completed using a new colour scheme from our colour consultant Julie Dalmaso from JMD Design. The exterior paint work was completed after repairs were completed to cracks in the render work. The house and fence came up beautifully and the outcome speaks for itself. It is always a pleasure to help our clients transform their homes.... If your home is in need of a refresh, repair or you are after a change, please contact us to discuss your requirements.

04.01.2022 So guys, A few here have asked LPA to do a fundraiser to help the drought-affected farmers which in essence is a good idea. Now Adrian Armstrong wanted to do an... Ice Bucket Challenge next week while he is on Holidays in the snow and raise money through a gofundme type of page. Others to suggested that we set up a go fund me page to collect funds and the donate that money to one of the charities that are currently trying to help those unfortunate people battling every day on the land in today's harsh dry conditions. Now, I have been involved with several different charities in recent years and helped with raising funds, and I find this cause a little closer to my own heart as from having a business in Western Queensland for about 8 years, I know have many friends that still live I these areas and I have seen first hand how hard it can be not only on the farmers but the impact it has on the entire community. Now instead then do anything like above that has been suggested, I have a different plan and let me tell you why. Firstly if we were to raise money through a gofundme page, we would lose a minimum of 10% straight up to the page owner, this is how they make their money. Secondly, if we then took the 90% of the funds raised considering we have just lost 10% to the gofundme page and donated them to another fund or charity a percentage of that would be lost in administration costs, now some of these charities have overheads of up to 50%, so if we raised $1000, as little as $500 might make it to where it needs to go. Now fact. There is almost no amount of money that is honestly going to relieve the pressure of the farmers that they are experiencing today. I spoke with a good friend of mine last night who has a property just south of Roma in the Maranoa District of Southwest Queensland. He was explaining to me that yes they need feed as it’s a dust bowl out there but sometimes it's not just money of feed the farmers could do with. Sometimes they would just like a chat and to know that people around them, whether they be local or from the city understand what they are going through. Having the ability to get it off their chest and help relieve the pressure valve just a little. So after speaking to a guy yesterday and then Adrian Armstrong, Adrian decided to drop the Ice Bucket Challenge and put his support behind the following idea. Let's buy Hay Bales, load up our work utes in Brisbane and head west. Somewhere within a 6-hour drive of Brisbane. We have set up a Farmers Drought appeal Fund account with the Commonwealth Bank. There will be no admin cost except the dreaded bank charges but every other cent we raise will go directly to buying hay bales. We will openly show everyone the bank account, so we all know where the funds are going and show all purchase invoices for the Hay we buy. Now my friend out west has told me that if we are going to buy feed, we need to make sure we purchase quality feed as the cheap stuff is a waste of time and money and can be full of weed and this only compounds the issue for farmers. I have found a place to buy good quality lucerne hay for around $20 per bale. I’m going to kick it off with $500 straight into the account. The rest of the logistics are yet to be worked out, but we need to get started. The other thing I would like to do is stay the night in whatever town we decide to go to, this will give the community a lift in a few different ways. The local Pub/Hotel usually is the backbone of small country towns. If we stay in town and have a few beers, maybe a meal, buy something from the local store and even refuel before we leave this too will be helping a small town that is doing it tough as well as showing the local farming community that we care and they aren't on their own. Now, this is NOT about LPA or me personaly, it's about a bunch of like-minded painters coming together to show humility and help a town out that is in desperate need of a little love and support. Who’s in to come along and who’s in to donate a few bucks? Remember, it an excellent opportunity to take your family to a small country town and show them how it all works and how tough it really is out there. I’m Thinking we leave the morning of Saturday, September 2nd 2018. Time and Location to be announced. Please feel free to share this with as many as you can. The more we raise the bigger the impact on a struggling community. Account details Name: LPA Farmers Drought Appeal BSB: 063097 Acc No: 22840365 REF: Your Name If it turns out that we can’t get enough utes to transport the hay we will donate the money to the Channel 9 Drought appeal, however, this is NOT our preferred option.
