25.01.2022 A few days ago, we completed our first A320 freight charter, transporting 11.2 tonnes of #cargo including masks, supplements, and fresh flowers. To maximise the full capacity of our aircraft, cargo boxes also sat where passengers would've, and travelled comfortably (as well as safely and securely) on the flight from Kunming to Singapore, with some travelling onwards to other countries too. We hope that these goods went on to make people a little happier!
24.01.2022 Dear Scoot Community As of 10 May 2359 hours SGT, additional precautionary Covid-19 measures have been put in place by the government for passengers on flights entering in and out of Singapore. This is to ensure the safety of our crew and passengers, and to minimize physical contact on board. Here are a few things to take note of if you are traveling with Scoot:... 1. Passengers are required to wear masks at all times. Guests without masks will not be allowed to board. 2. Passengers must submit a health declaration form prior to check-in. 3. Temperature screening will be done prior to boarding. 4. Only one piece (3kg) of cabin baggage is allowed with effect from 1 June 2020, so as to minimise congestion when boarding and disembarking. Remaining baggage (up to 7kg for Economy and 12kg for ScootPlus) will need to be checked in at no additional cost. For more information and the latest updates, please visit: https://www.flyscoot.com/en/announcements. Thank you for doing your part to keep everyone on board safe. - The Scoot Team

22.01.2022 Dear Scoot Community As the Covid-19 situation progresses and we prepare to gradually resume flights, we would like to share some important updates with you. Firstly, we would like to thank everyone involved in the refunds process for your patience, especially for those who may have waited longer than was promised, or than others. These were likely the more complicated transactions involving multiple payment types, partially flown tickets or some other kind of additional comp...lexities. We are now down to the last 10% of cases to be refunded and are working towards completing them by the end of June. For those who may be intending to travel soon, you may also wish to take note that with effect from 11 June 2020, Scoot passengers will be able to transit through Singapore Changi Airport from Perth, Australia only to any destination in the Singapore Airlines (SIA) Group network currently operated by Scoot, SIA or SilkAir. SIA and SilkAir passengers will also be able to transit through Singapore Changi Airport from selected cities in Australia and New Zealand, to any destination in the SIA Group network currently operated by SIA, SilkAir or Scoot. Passengers transiting through Singapore should ensure that they meet the entry requirements for their final destination. More information on this can be found at our website: https://www.flyscoot.com//covid-19-scoot-passengers-transi. Thank you for your kind attention, we hope to see you on board again soon. - The Scoot Team

19.01.2022 [Latest update: As of 26 August 2020, further investigations have confirmed that this was not a data security or hacking issue. All affected customers and Singapore's Personal Data Protection Commission have been contacted and we sincerely apologise to all affected.] ----- Dear Scoot Community... Scoot would like to clarify that an email that was meant for passengers booked on TR100 from Singapore to Guangzhou, departing on 30 Aug 2020, 0515hrs, to inform them of new travel requirements for their flight, was mistakenly sent to other customers who were not on the flight. Scoot is currently investigating the matter and will provide an update on the findings when possible. For now, it has been established that there was no data breach or leak of personal information. Scoot sincerely apologises for this oversight and our highest priority is establishing what transpired and rectifying the errors. Thank you for your kind understanding. - The Scoot Team

16.01.2022 Dear Scoot Community This month has been extraordinary for us all, especially those largely confined to home. Singapores circuit breaker certainly made it a memorable start for me: on my fourth day in the office everyone went home and didnt return. although I dont think its personal. On 9th April Scoot announced a new refund policy for flights cancelled due to Covid-19, making us one of the first airlines to provide customers the choice of either a cash refund to the o...riginal form of payment, or a travel voucher worth 120% of the original tickets value. Since then we have processed nearly 75,000 cash and voucher refunds, and our team is hard at work on the remainder, which are being actioned by departure date. If you are still waiting, thank you for your patience. Please bear with us a little longer whilst we get to yours. With most aircraft grounded, many of our staff have been deployed to assist with refunds and customer service requests, whilst many others are helping Singapores national Covid-19 response. For example, hundreds of our crew are helping at the Peoples Association and Ministry of Social & Family Development, with dozens more at hospitals around Singapore supporting healthcare professionals. We are proud of the work they are doing and heartened by the spirit with which they are doing it. Scoot has also been supporting the repatriation of Singaporeans and residents with flights to/from Wuhan, Chennai and Kuala Lumpur. We are also doing our part to maintain the supply chain through regular service to both Perth and Hong Kong, and many all-cargo charters to other cities. Our teams both in Singapore and overseas see these as important missions and are appreciative of the chance to contribute. Of course, this is still a far cry from Scoots normal scale of connecting people and places, and we cant wait to get back in the air in a bigger way. With signs of progress in the fight against Covid-19, and of some economies opening up, we are starting to see relaxation of travel restrictions. As and when travel resumes, however, rest assured that we will be following all government requirements on social distancing, safety equipment and cleaning. We are committed to keeping you, and our staff, safe. This month has indeed been extraordinary. And the efforts shown by everyone doing their part to keep things going and community spirits up, have been nothing short of that. It seems extraordinary times have triggered an extraordinary response, of resilience, of kindness and of strength. So until we get back in the air, heres a message from the Scoot team. As they say: Stay safe. Stay healthy. Stay strong. Well be here when its time to fly again. - Campbell Wilson, Scoot CEO
16.01.2022 We know it's hard not being able to travel, but thank you for doing your part. Not just by staying home more, but also for keeping the travel spirit alive while youre at it! Creatively wandering at home too? Show us in the comments below! #WanderAtHome

10.01.2022 Dear Scoot Community The Covid-19 situation has impacted all of us in one way or another. In such times, it is important that we offer each other support. Scoot has continued to work on ways in which we can be there for our customers who, like us, are facing difficulties during this period. We are pleased to share that, arising from customer feedback, we have reviewed our policy for handling affected guests, and can now offer a wider range of options.... For all customers with bookings made on or before 15 March 2020 travelling on flights scheduled to depart between 23 January and 31 May 2020 but were unable to travel, we now offer two options to claim a refund. 1. 09.01.2022 Say hello to our very first cargo plane! Scoot has been operating regular cargo flights to maintain the global supply chain as well as exploring innovative ways to maximize the utilisation of our aircraft. For example, cargo was previously transported in the seats on some flights! Now, by modifying this A320 aircraft (9V-TAZ) and removing all its seats, we are able to use its entire cabin space and increase carrying capacity to 20 tonnes. Check out these photos of the process and its maiden cargo flight from Fuzhou to Singapore over the weekend!

05.01.2022 Dear Scoot Community We never would have imagined this reality a world without travel. A world where planes are grounded, and borders are closed. Its unthinkable, but it has happened. We understand that it has been challenging for everyone in these unprecedented times, and would like to thank you all for your patience and understanding.... Given the further tightening of border controls around the world over the last week to stem the COVID-19 outbreak resulting in significantly reduced travel demand, Scoot has made the difficult decision to temporarily suspend almost all of our network from now until mid to end April. More information on this is available on our website at: https://www.flyscoot.com/en/announcements. We sincerely apologise for any travel disruptions this may have caused you. All customers affected by the flight cancellations will be notified progressively and will receive a Scoot travel voucher on the unused portion of their itinerary in their registered email address within 30 business days. We are working hard on providing flights where possible to transport passengers back to their home countries amidst the suspensions. We continue to monitor the situation closely and will make further changes to our network where required. Due to the current situation, we have been experiencing a much higher than usual volume of messages as well. We understand that you are worried about what the current uncertainties will mean for your upcoming flights and travel plans. To facilitate more immediate response times, we have recently also added a self-service refund option to our website for automated processing of refund requests. If youve booked a flight with us before 15 March for travel up to 31 May, you can use this self-serve channel to request for a full refund in the form of Scoot travel vouchers up to 4 hours prior to your departure. To date, we have completed processing 91% of requests submitted since the launch of this service 6 days ago. This world remains a wonderful place with its incredible, uncountable sights, myriad of fascinating cultures and unforgettable experiences. Despite the challenges this current climate presents, the spirit of travel, of connecting with amazing people and cultures all over the world, is still alive and well. Scoot was established to champion this spirit, and to make life more fulfilling. This remains our mission in 2020 and will continue to be so, long after COVID-19 is but a distant memory. Stay strong and healthy everyone, and well be back Scootin again soon. - The Scoot Team
