24.01.2022 More nav training yesterday in our A22LS Foxbat. The route took in The Oaks - Penrith - Katoomba - Bathurst - Orange - Cowra- Crookwell - Mittagong and then home. Country is looking lush and green with a mix of colours from the Canola and Paterson’s Curse that is out at present.

24.01.2022 Today SRFC held our Annual General Meeting at The Oaks airfield. With our friends from Rylstone popping by in there A32 Vixen a great day was had by all. Our Committee were all re-elected for another year in there positions continuing there great work of running SRFC

23.01.2022 A busy day at The Oaks today. Some hot air balloons were spotted on the way to the airfield. Phil was out with his Vampire. Check flights for members continued, and there was some refresher flying for some prospective members. At the end a beautiful sunset to finish it off.

14.01.2022 New club house improvements coming together nicely! We now have a new retractable awning and deck installed! And new signage! Big thanks to At Print Creative Solutions for arranging the signs! Give them a call for all of printing and designing needs!

12.01.2022 Tony and Mark doing Nav training today. Route was The Oaks - Mittagong- Nowra- Shoalhaven Heads - Shellharbour- Mittagong - The Oaks, with a sandwich stop at the HARS museum. Great day for it.

07.01.2022 Another great day of flying at SRFC. Cloud dodging was the main game today, but we still managed 6.5 hours across the 2 club Foxbats. A visitor also dropped in from Camden.

07.01.2022 A great day for flying even better for Gliding! A great joint event between SRFC & Southern Cross Gliding Club at Camden today! SRFC members had the chance to take a flight in a glider and complete some safety spin training in there stunning gliders! thanks to Southern Cross Gliding Club for the day and BBQ lunch! Looking forward to having you all over for flights in our A22 Foxbats

06.01.2022 Today at The Oaks we didn’t have any students because we had our scheduled instructors meeting! At SRFC we have 7 instructors so we arrange meetings at the airfield to discuss improvements and changes with teaching you how to fly. It’s also a great opportunity for our Chief Flying Instructor to fly with all the instructors to ensure we maintain the highest levels of skills required for instruction.
