Our front of house volunteers play a vital role in the day-to-day activities of the Gallery space by interacting with the public and promoting the space, the artists and the exhibition program. Volunteers will operate on a weekend roster, which includes a 9am-1pm shift on Saturdays and Sundays, with an extended shift on the last Sunday of each month, (from 9am 2.30pm) in line with the Tanks Market days. We love our volunteers, and our aim is always to offer our people a productive and positive experience We are asking that you commit to one shift per month. 01.01.2022 #COVIDSAFE While not all industries need a COVID Safe Plan or Checklist - all businesses are required to have COVID-19 risk management considerations included i...n their existing workplace health and safety plans. You might find this WHS COVID-19 template helpful. https://www.worksafe.qld.gov.au//workplace-risk-management Remember, you must complete and maintain your plan and make it available to our inspectors or other Queensland Government officials if they ask for it.
01.01.2022 A huge thank you to all the FNQ Volunteers and QLD Care Army who put in an incredible effort to prepare the Cairns & Districts Senior Citizens Association doors open again after being closed for the last few months, the very happy and grateful members returned Monday to resume the great roster of weekly classes. A lovely message from the CCSCAI president..... Thanks so much for the absolutely wonderful volunteers sent to CDSCA. ... They were absolutely fantastic. Cleaned everything thoroughly. Some of them took our band covers, yoga mats home to wash. Another purchased lights and a hose connection for us. They only had a break for their smoko at 1pm. They have all turned up on time too. Certainly, a breath of fresh air for us at Seniors! The ones helping with activities are well versed re the Covid19 safety measures. The gardener is still here sprucing the trees up. Most gratefully yours - Alison Worrell, President, CDSCA
