25.01.2022 Today it's Grated Parmesan, Ceaser Salad Dressing, Steamed Corn (from last night) are you grating, emulsifying, steaming? Tips ... Grating cheese - 200g parmesan - about 8 sec/sp10. Do several blocks 1after the other and store excess in the freezer. When your recipe asks you to grate 30-50g, then clean the bowl ... time saved and no anti-caking agents.... Ceaser Dressing - the recipe asks for mayo, you can just use an egg instead. Also most "mayo" recipes will say to weigh your oil into a jug TM5 & 6ers can skip that just put your scales on and pour it straight from the bottle.

24.01.2022 Skinnymixers - Warming Porridge It's kind of fluffy! I think I would add 2 dates next time. Tip - I don't keep flax meal (i grind as required) so put flax seed in first and jgh before adding nuts etc and don't drop bowl of crushed nuts on the ground just so that you can grind up the flax seeds before the nuts for a photo!!!

24.01.2022 THERE ARE A FEW THINGS GOING ON ... * Local Thermomix Consultant X'mas themed Cooking Class is tomorrow night - in Burleigh. * Possible Chrissy gifts - the blade cover, the new style MC - they both fit all models. * 36 Months interest free is on until 16 Dec * TM are heavily promoting the "Meater+" ... * Possible 20% off at the Mix Shop - this hasn't worked consistently for everyone - update your details via the link in email you received (check your junk) and you might get a voucher *hopefully get my plaster off this week (broken wrist!) and will be back to posting again. I've been able to cook though - how good is a TM!!!

23.01.2022 TM6'ers - Two new Functions will be added to your TM next week - you will notice 2 new icons when you swipe left. The rice mode will allow you to cook (I think) 500g of rice/grains The thickening mode sounds interesting - I guess it will auto cook until it senses the thickness is just right (eg hollandaise sauce etc). There's a lot more info when you follow the link below.

21.01.2022 SKINNYMIXERS RED PESTO CHICKEN SALAD ... it was easy and yummy (although I did quite a few ingredient subs in the pesto eg fresh capsicum instead of roasted). Tips... Leave the '50g' pesto in the bowl, put your chicken in the bowl - couple of secs/Rev/sp2 - to coat the chicken and remove more pesto from the bowl! I shredded the chicken (after cooking it) rather than cubing it. I added extra chicken to the varoma so there are leftovers for sandwiches, pies, nachos on the week...end. After removing the potatoes, you could put the spinach in the sb and just tip the water from the bowl over the spinach to wilt it a bit before adding it to the salad bowl. See more

20.01.2022 TM6er's Oh dear, Caramels!!! Many of you will recall me talking about the caramel sauce from "Everyday cooking for TM families" - all in, wait 8 minutes and yum. Well now (with the 160degrees) there's, all in, wait 25mins and done. These are just like the inside of Fantales, only better!

15.01.2022 Hi TM'ers, Sorry I've been so quiet of late. If you happen to be free tonight our team is having a Varoma workshop. - 7:30p! (yep, sorry for the late notice). You need to go to zoom.us, Join Meeting, ... Enter meeting id 923 5011 4464 and the password will be 014 739 This will definitely inspire you to dig your varoma out of the back or your cupboard. See more

15.01.2022 TM31’ers How’s your green seal Do you have any signs that it needs to be replaced? Any dribbles, when you are jghing a smoothie for example. https://www.thermomix.com.au/shop/parts/tm31-parts/ ... Geepers 8.95 shipping let me know if you need one and I can do a bulk order! (obviously if you don’t have a green seal then you need to get one!)

13.01.2022 YAY Week view is back!

13.01.2022 Sadly have just found out that Blade Covers won't be back until around May!!!

13.01.2022 Did someone ask about Keto here? I can't see the post. I haven't personally checked any of these out but here's a few ideas ... Also a reminder of how handy Cookidoo is - type "keto" into the search bar, remove "Australia" from the filter and you will get 459 results (ok some are going to be in another language!) A great facebook page is "Loving my Cook-key and Cookidoo". A great place for recipe tips.

12.01.2022 And we are back into school lunches prep mode ... KUNG PAO CHICKEN and boiled eggs, steamed corn, chicken and veggies for lunches. The Kung Pao Chicken is a TM6 recipe because it uses the high heat setting (160deg), so it will not show up on your TM5 when you sync. Just do it manually - 11mins/120deg or Varoma/Reverse/speed 1.... It has a new ingredient that I hadn't come across before - Black Vinegar - It's only a teaspoon or so, so don't worry if you don't have it but it is easy to find at the Asian Grocery Store. And while you are there, pick up some Chinese Cooking Wine (Shaoxing) while you are there - It is a more common ingredient in many of the Asian recipes. This is a really yummy recipe and so easy - give it a go! https://cookidoo.com.au/recipes/recipe/en-AU/r493972

12.01.2022 Bonus ThermoMat until 12th Feb with TM6 purchase

10.01.2022 YUMMM! Slow-cooked Pulled Pork No need for take-always tonight! 10 mins of my time and 4&1/2 hours - too easy.

10.01.2022 SKINNYMIXERS BEEF CHEEKS While the pesto salad was cooking, I browned some beef and onions, added the leftovers sauce from the Skinnymixers Beef Cheeks (must have eaten these before taking photo!!!) and now there's some pie filling for the freezer. Although this is a recipe for the TM6, I encourage you to make it - it's delicious and still easy (about 5mins active time) - just transfer it to your slow cooker/stove/oven for the 4hours OR in your TM31/5 cook for 59/99mins/95deg/rev/sp soft. Come back a couple of times to reset time. No promises but I reckon the cheeks will prob hold together. There is also extra sauce and room in the bowl for more meat.

09.01.2022 GOOD STUFF here / coming soon with Thermo ... This month a free $65 voucher to spend at the mixShop when you buy a thermo (1-31 Oct). Two things I would recommend putting on your x'mas list ... Blade Cover ($?tba) - this will increase the usable space in the bowl vs putting things into the simmering basket. The Measuring Cup ($27) - there's a new one with the TM6 that can be used with TM31/5's. It stays on the lid - I'll do a video in a minute!... Also ... The new spatula ($25) - it's great, but I love my $2 Ikea ones! See more

09.01.2022 SKINNYMIXERS Collection is on Cookidoo now - this is the first of two. There's been a lot of excitement about this one spoiler alert no butter chicken!

08.01.2022 Good Food and Wine Show - 25-27October. There are some TM masterclasses each day as well. Use this code for a discount on your entry fee.

06.01.2022 A really good Customer Offer is on for a week starting today - if you know anyone on the fence, this is definitely worth a mention ... When you buy a thermo, you can pay an extra $29 and get a bunch of freebies worth over $300 - WHAT!!! ... and the second bowl Hosting Reward has been extended until end of April

06.01.2022 BLADE COVER ... it's here at last. Although I suspect it won't last long again. It is a limit of one per purchase and the postage is probs $8.95. Unfortunately, I can't do a bulk buy to save us all on postage etc. Don't know if this will change in the future. I do like the blade cover but having said that I still haven't used mine a great deal (probs because I haven't down much winter cooking though!)

06.01.2022 It's here ... 2nd Bowl is now available.

02.01.2022 This is usually a good sale (the postage sometimes soaks up any discount though). I have many of the more common books and chips that you can pick up locally. As always if you are buying a few, I still recommend considering the cook-key - just call for a chat about it.
