25.01.2022 Some good tips here to keep yourself busy during these strange times. Do you have any other ideas for people to try at home? Share them in the comments!

23.01.2022 We often receive enquiries regarding skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, acne and neurodermatitis - with patients suffering from uncomfortable, painful and sometimes embarrassing reactions such as itching, weeping, redness, dryness or scaly flaking. These are all inflammatory skin diseases and, since a major source of inflammation comes from our diets, it therefore makes sense to investigate if an IgG food allergy could be triggering the symptoms. Studies have shown t...hat patients suffering neurodermatitis often show more IgG reactions to foodstuffs than persons not suffering neurodermatitis. The inflammatory process can be stopped through a change in diet which may substantially improve symptoms associated with skin conditions. Are you concerned about eczema or skin conditions? 22.01.2022 If you're working from home and need to regather your thoughts and refocus, why not try a bit of living-room or backyard yoga? Emotional health is so important, now more than ever. The more things you can do to support your overall well-being, such as mind-body awareness, exercise and adequate sleep, the better you’ll feel and the easier your body will manage with the challenges of day-to-day life. Here are a couple of popular poses you can try at home. Mountain Pose:... Stand tall with feet together, shoulders relaxed, weight evenly distributed through your soles, arms at sides. Take a deep breath and raise your hands overhead, palms facing each other with arms straight. Reach up toward the sky with your fingertips. Downward Dog: Start on all fours with hands directly under shoulders, knees under hips. Walk hands a few inches forward and spread fingers wide, pressing palms into mat. Curl toes under and slowly press hips toward ceiling, bringing your body into an inverted V, pressing shoulders away from ears. Feet should be hip-width apart, knees slightly bent.

20.01.2022 This Sunday, 17 May is World Hypertension Day. Hypertension (HT) is the leading preventable cause of premature death worldwide, affecting roughly 1 in 3 people. Inflammation is a major indication of hypertension with mounting evidence suggesting that chronic, low-grade inflammation contributes to cardiovascular disease. Click through below to read more...

18.01.2022 Did you know the ratio of essential fatty acids in Western diets is often out of balance? This can leave you with feelings of depression or fatigue, difficulty concentrating or brain fog", and can also lead to weight gain, heart disease and skin conditions. A Fatty Acid Status analysis will provide you with a profile of all the fats in your blood serum (mono/poly-unsaturated fats and saturated fats) as well as the incredibly important ratio of Omega 3:6 essential fatty acids. You can then tailor your diet or supplementary intake to suit your individual requirements. 16.01.2022 Could your diet be contributing to weight gain? Delayed food allergies don't discriminate against healthy- or unhealthy- foods. If you are continually eating foods that cause inflammation (yep, even healthy ones), that underlying inflammation is going to make it very difficult to lose weight and may also be responsible for other chronic issues like diarrhea, constipation, headaches, skin conditions, joint pain, even anxiety and depression. Read more below.

12.01.2022 **Today is World Autism Awareness Day** Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) involves abnormal development and function of the brain and affects 1 in 68 children. Recent studies have shown that IgG antibodies against different food components, such as casein or gluten, are increased in children with autism and are likely involved in this disorder. It can therefore be assumed that an IgG-based elimination diet can contribute to better management of autism. Read full study at www.imupro.com.au/practitioner-resources/

11.01.2022 Why is it so important to watch our diets with increasing age? As we get older, it's not uncommon to notice dips in energy and strength. Things we used to do quickly and easily can become a bit more of a struggle. We can chalk it up to "getting older", or we can do something about it. Delayed (IgG) food allergies are a major source of underlying inflammation and if left to continue, can lead to chronic conditions including exhaustion and fatigue, joint pain, arthritic complai...nts and more. Identifying your personal trigger foods can be quite a powerful tool if done correctly, helping you find your way back to a healthy, active life and boosting your health and energy levels. 09.01.2022 Crohn's Disease is a chronic inflammatory condition affecting individual parts of the gastrointestinal tract. Anybody familiar with CD would know it can be a painful and often debilitating condition, with symptoms like diarrhea, stomach pain, weight loss, fatigue etc, flaring up over periods of time. Though the cause of Crohn's is still largely unknown, food as a trigger of symptom flare-ups has long been discussed in literature. Click through below to read more about Crohn's and download published studies on the effects of an IgG guided elimination diet in CD patients.

08.01.2022 Milk is quite a common reaction in an IgG food allergy test. Fortunately nowadays if you have to avoid cow’s milk there are plenty of non-dairy alternatives available, most of which can be found in your local supermarket. Read on to learn more about milk including non-dairy options and tips on meeting your calcium requirements while avoiding cow's milk.

07.01.2022 **Healing the Gut** Over 80% of immune defence reactions originate in the intestine. It guarantees an almost invincible barrier for bacteria, viruses and other disease pathogens, and a barrier against other foreign proteins from food. Food has an extraordinary tolerance, provided it is correctly digested and passed through an intact intestine in the way it’s meant to. An intact gut barrier is the key for tolerating foods. A damaged gut barrier can result in chronic inflammati...on which in time can lead to food intolerance symptoms whenever the inflammation is triggered. To properly heal the gut, the inflammation must be dealt with first. The gut cannot be properly healed while inflammatory processes are still occurring. Dr Camille Lieners explains further:

06.01.2022 So interesting! Did you know your tongue can be used as a diagnostic tool to find out what is going on within the body? Hands up who went and looked at their tongue in the mirror after reading this...

06.01.2022 Chronic skin conditions are often linked to underlying inflammation caused by IgG-mediated delayed food allergies. Insufficient omega 3 essential fatty acids in the body can also play a part. Neurodermatitis (atopic dermatitis/eczema), itching of the skin, psoriasis and acne are inflammatory skin diseases of different expression. Those affected can suffer terribly from symptoms such as itching, weeping, redness, dry or scaly skin. Not much is known on the exact causes of thes...e inflammatory skin diseases so classic treatment methods aim to alleviate symptoms, rather than getting to the cause of the disease. In this context, ointments and compresses as well as drugs (cortisone or antibiotics) are often used for treating the inflammation. Nutrition plays an important role here, since food is a common trigger of inflammation and IgG food allergy will not respond to medication. Studies have shown that children with neurodermatitis will more often show IgG reactions to foodstuffs than persons not suffering neurodermatitis. This inflammatory process can be stopped through a change in diet which can fundamentally improve the associated symptoms of these skin conditions. 03.01.2022 Magnesium is an essential mineral the body requires in order to function properly. Along with helping to control bloating and water retention, magnesium may also be helpful for regulating blood sugar and insulin levels in people who are overweight or obese. Did you know magnesium can also help boost athletic performance? A magnesium deficiency can seriously deplete energy levels. Studies have also shown that the body needs up to 20 percent more magnesium during exercise than... during its resting state. Specifically, magnesium helps reduce lactic acid buildup from muscles during exercise. Too much lactic acid can cause pain and muscle fatigue, so try adding magnesium to your diet to help increase the effectiveness of your workouts. The following are naturally magnesium-rich foods: dark leafy greens: spinach, kale fruit: figs, avocado, bananas vegetables: peas, broccoli, cabbage, sprouts quinoa and wholegrains (brown rice, oats) nuts and seeds beans and legumes salmon, mackerel and tuna dark chocolate, raw cacao tofu Magnesium powder is another option however you should always consult your health practitioner before using vitamins and supplements.
