25.01.2022 Football West would like to thank Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, Kimberley and program partners that enabled the delivery of the Football West- Kimberley Legacy Program which covered the various ways in which football coaching can be applied as a holistic tool for engaging hidden learning, application of health/safety messages through games, improve community engagement, enhance club development and improving physical and mental wellbeing acros...s the Kimberley. Over the last 2 weeks Football West has engaged over 2000 participants in community engagement programs and facilitated over 40 participants through coaching courses across the Kimberley. Big thanks to super coach Garry Church for taking the time to travel to the Kimberley and embrace the project. 22.01.2022 Football West has launched its Building Stronger Clubs Program with grants of up to $1,500 available to clubs and associations. The Building Stronger Clubs Program aims to future proof the sport by having good practice clubs and associations that provide a better all-round experience for all. The grants can be used to help clubs and associations to strengthen in the following areas:... Governance Facilities Management Stakeholder Engagement (inc. 17.01.2022 Football West has teamed up with the Western Australian Institute of Sport to offer coaches the chance to register for a free Coach Education Series workshop. A...nd those who register and attend will be allowed by Football Federation Australia to accumulate 10 Continuing Professional Development points (CPD) towards their accreditation. The workshop will take place on Saturday 12 September, 2020, between 1-2.30pm. Particpants can either attend in person at WAIS High Performance Service Centre - Seminar Room, follow the live stream or secure a recording. 07.01.2022 It's official... Country Week CHAMPIONS. Ayanna's team remained undefeated throughout the tournament ( beating all metro and country teams). Ayanna also starred in the final scoring the first goal and played an awesome game. Congratulations again Ayanna on this amazing achievement and we all look forward to seeing you and the other Kimberley youth participate in Country Camp soon.
06.01.2022 Football West will continue its commitment to clubs and associations by conducting a State-wide Facility Audit and Facility Plan. The audit, which is part of th...e Building Stronger Clubs Program, will take place over the next four months. It is designed to allow Football West to understand the needs of clubs and associations across Western Australia. 03.01.2022 The Shire of Broome have partnered with Sports Medicine Australia and Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, Kimberley to deliver a FREE concussion course. There are two dates available and we would recommend anyone from Broome Soccer Association to attend.
