16.01.2022 A new trophy for the Honeybears cabinet Kicking off at 11am the Honeybears came out fighting, determined to get the win at home against Warwick. Both teams had a limited number of opportunities in the first half but headed into the break nil all. Coach Dennis Carroll's half time talk was full of positivity for the ladies effort and only a few minor tweaks were made.... It wasn't long before the Honeys pulled it all together with competition golden boot leader Sally Carroll finding the back of the net with a fantastic pivoting snap from the top of the 18 yard box (season total now at 10). Although both teams struggled with the heat the Honeys managed to hold it together to secure the win 1 - 0 at full time, much to the elation of the players and coaching team. The Bears also got the job done defeating USQ 3-1 after a slow first half start. 8th place USQ was the first to score, but conceded an own goal shortly after to tie the game 1-1. After half time the Bears came out stronger, shoring up their midfield and slowing down the USQ offence. Nick Guymer was giving the the USQ back line all sorts of trouble and eventually converted opportunities to goals, with 2 in the second half. Ryan Dolbel and Ben Webber were awarded joint player of the week. Next weekend the Honeybears head to Toowoomba to face West Wanderers on Sunday, while the Bears have the weekend off.

14.01.2022 Its Saturday night lights down at the Rec Grounds again tonight as our Senior teams fight for some importand season points. First up at 5pm we have the Honeybears, who are sitting pretty on the top of table but second place Warwick are snapping at their heels and keen for another upset win. Can the Honeybears keep Warwick at bay? Can Sally Carroll add a few more points to her golden boot campaign? Then at 7pm the 5th placed Bears come up against 4th place Goondiwindi Roos. B...oth teams are tied on the ladder with 11 points, but goal difference puts Goondi ahead. How will the boys fair without superstar keeper Coby Calleja? Can Chinchilla come away successful and snatch up 4th place? Grab your blanket and 1.5m measuring stick and head down to the Rec Grounds for what are bound to be 2 entertaining games. Limited canteen - hot coffees, snacks, cold drinks. Remember to adhere to all COVID safe guidelines while attending the venue.
14.01.2022 Its a scorching day today and tonight is going to be even hotter 5pm Honeybears vs Gatton. 7pm Bears vs Hawks.... Limited canteen. Reminder to adhere to all COVID safe guidelines.
11.01.2022 FINALS FLASH BACK As we get set for the Bears battle against Rockville at 11am, check out the faces of the Honeys and Bears who did the double back in 2015. The Honeys have done their part, can the Bears help recreate history today? We certainly hope so! Best of luck boys! And if the very vocal sea of red from last night crashes into the stadium today your finals experience is bound to be something spectacular. ... Also shout out to the OG crew who were their in 2015 and are backing it up again this weekend. Bears players; Ross Cardillo, Jayden Markham, Mark Johnson, Tim Taylor, Neil Stevenson and Stewart Hope (player, now coach) Honeybears; Sally Carroll, Kim Priem, Kirsty Nothdurft, Elaina Riebe, Nikola Stevenson and Dennis Carroll (manager, now coach)
11.01.2022 The men are the only team in action this weekend, headed down to Toowoomba to play the Garden City Raiders at 1pm. Things are tight at the top of the Mens Conference Division Table with Rockville on 21 and Dalby and Chinchilla on 20 (Dalby has our lads on goal difference at the moment though). Can the boys keep their winning streak alive and defeat 4th place Raiders on the road?
