21.01.2022 We are still open but with extra safe distancing protocols in place. We ask you don't arrive early for your appointment and to not bring extra people with you to avoid too many people in the waiting room. After the NSW Health Update last night about masks, we ask that all patients wear a mask when attending an appointment to further mitigate any risk. Looking forward to seeing you soon.

Its an old wives tale so please do not feel bad popping in for a chat about your bunions. Sometimes its because of an injury, but most times theyre caused by being flat footed - and you inherit that - which is why they develop over time and why youre not born with them. This short video explains why, and why good shoes and sometimes orthotics are needed for people who are starting to notice theyre developing bunions. https://youtu.be/GckxbPV-sPY

16.01.2022 Are you getting really cold feet and hands this winter? This video might be worth a watch. If youre concerned you may suffer #RaynaudsSyndrome, pop in to see your GP for a proper diagnosis. If youve already been diagnosed, bottom line, prevention and protection of your extremities reduces flares and is the best management. Here are some tips: - ensure you check on the underlying issues, it may be a chronic illness like #Lupus, #RheumatoidArthritis, #Scleroderma, or could b...e your medication. Flare ups are also highly linked to stress. - keep warm during the colder months with gloves, thick socks and closed in shoes. - try to avoid big changes in temperatures, like walking barefoot on cold tiles, putting your feet too close to the fire, or using really hot water to shower or wash your hands. - concentrate on your skin integrity and use a moisturising cream to stop your skin drying out, cracking, bleeding and potentially causing an infection. - if you find soap or shampoo irritates your skin, swap to a non-soap product like oatmeal based #dermaveen See more
