25.01.2022 Another important announcement: We have taken the important decision to stop flying to our Wednesday Mingenew clinic. This is to protect our wonderful Mingenew patients. However, all patients will be able to have a telephone consult with Dr Rosie and there is currently no limit on appointments. We can do a surprising amount over the phone including all script requests and referrals. Please call 9956 8999 to make an appointment. The Silverchain nursing post is continuing to ru...n as normal. 18.01.2022 Mingenew Clinic Update We are very happy to confirm the weekly Wednesday Mingenew clinics will start up again on 17th June. Dr Rosie will be dusting off the aeroplane and hoping for good weather! Please call 9956 8999 to make an appointment. We ask all our patients to arrive at their allocated appointment time. 11.01.2022 Important information for our patients about Coronavirus: As the situation with the coronavirus evolves, we ask people who have any cold or flu-like symptoms to call ahead on 9956 8999 before coming to the clinic. Please read the following information carefully:... Symptoms of Coronavirus may include: * a sore throat; * runny nose; * cough; * shortness of breath; * fevers; and * muscle or body aches. If you have any of the above symptoms and 1) have been overseas in the two weeks prior to symptoms developing, or 2) have been in contact with a person who has coronavirus (COVID-19) we may be able to organise testing for you without you needing to attend the clinic. This can be organised over the phone with one of our doctors. You will have a call back within the day. Alternatively please attend the Emergency Department at Geraldton Regional Hospital. It is ESSENTIAL you let the hospital know you are attending on 9956 2222 so staff at the hospital can prepare for your arrival. There is also a state Coronavirus Health Information Line on 1800 020 080. Please keep Triple Zero (000) for emergencies only. HOW TO PROTECT AGAINST COVID-19 Practising good hygiene is your best line of defence. 07.01.2022 TELEHEALTH SERVICE - IMPORTANT INFORMATION Due to the Coronavirus outbreak the Government has allowed GP’s to offer telehealth services. Midwest Aero are pleased to offer this valuable service to our patients. This will enable our doctors to help you over phone or video conferencing if appropriate. The government has set strict criteria for who is eligible to be bulk billed for this service, but anyone over the age of 70 will automatically be bulk billed. ... To book, please call reception on 9956 8999 and request a telehealth appointment. We will do our best to call you back within the day. Please note, this is not an emergency service and we may not get to speak to you for several hours. In an emergency, call 000. If you do not meet the government criteria to be bulk billed there will be a $62 fee to access this service. The doctor will assess and advise if you can be bulk billed when you are called back. Our Reception team is unfortunately unable to advise. Please do not book this service if you are unwilling to be charged $62 in the event we can not bulk bill you. Finally, a reminder that if you have cold or flu symptoms or are recovering from them, please call us and tell us before you attend in person. We must keep our staff and patients safe.
