07.01.2022 BACK TO SCHOOL....Dont let the little people you love start school this year without getting their feet checked. Why is it that parents feel it is important to get their childrens eyes checked, teeth checked, and hearing checked before they start school but they forget about their feet? My guess is that the majority do not realise how crucial foot health is for ensuring quality of life at school. Yes, academic education is important but so is physical activity. Without fo...ot health, your little one may struggle to play at lunch time and they may struggle to keep up with peers when walking to and from school activities and excursions. They may not perform as well as peers when participating in their favourite sport and may wonder why they cant run as fast as others or jump as high. A lot of the time, biomechanical insufficiency is to blame. Our podiatrists are highly trained in not only diagnosing these pathologies but can provide treatment so that your little ones can get on with doing what they love without pain and struggle. The human foot is a highly complex structure...so complex in fact that it takes a minimum of 4 years at University for a Podiatrist to become qualified. 4 years just to learn about this complex structure!!! Podiatry is a medical degree which includes study of the whole body but it specialises on the foot and lower limb so to make sure that you are putting your childs feet in the best possible hands, it is worth a visit to see us BEFORE you buy new school shoes for this year. Growing feet are pliable and flexible and the bones may not be fully developed yet. The bones may in fact not be fully ossified which means that there is still cartilage and foot wear will have a major influence on the development of the growing foot. Poor fitting foot wear or lack of support may impact the shape and function of your childs foot over time. Some alarm bells that may indicate your child needs a foot assessment: - child complains of tired painful legs and feet - child is resistant to walking and playing sport - child asks to have legs and feet rubbed at night - childs foot looks excessively flat or high arched - knock knees - walks on toes - frequently trips - wants to take shoes off frequently - child looks uncoordinated when running or playing sport Like and share this post and tag your family and friends in the comments for a chance to win a free foot assessment for your child ( under the age of 16). Closes 5th of January at 8pm if you have any concerns, we welcome you to visit out friendly Podiatrits at Foot Zone Podiatry Centre at Shop 1/517 Sanders rd. Lavington NSW, 2641. PH: 02 60 4000 34

06.01.2022 Have you ever wondered why your child has leg pain? Wants to be picked up and carried? Tires easily when walking? Its time to get their feet checked, it might be their foot and lower limb biomechanics disrupting the quality of their life. Call 02 60 4000 34 for a comprehensive assessment of your child.

05.01.2022 As a parent, we often wonder if our children are reaching their milestones and are "on track" with their development. Have you ever wondered if your childs lower limb development is on track for their age? A lot of lower limb changes take place throughout growth and development. The bones go through various rotations and twists and these happen from the hip down to the ground and vary depending on age. If you have noticed your child trips easily, has knocked knees, is pig...eon toed, has flat feet, has one foot that turns in etc, it would be worth making an appointment for further assessment. Please call 60 4000 34 for an appointment.

05.01.2022 Do you suffer with painful callous? We can remove it easily for you...check out our before and after photos! 04.01.2022 Spring is finally here!!! Time to get any unsightly foot problems under control! Unsightly nails, dry, cracked heels, corns and callous can all be resolved through visiting one of our friendly Podiatrists! Wondering why you would choose a Podiatrist to make your feet look and feel marvellous? Well, there are several reasons but the main reason is for your safety. Podiatrists are highly skilled professionals who adhere to Australian medical infection control standards. Our i...nstruments are 100% sterilised in an autoclave. Disinfecting does not guarantee that all the bugs are killed, sterilising is the only way. Beware of exposing yourself to facilities that offer this type of service, you really dont know what type of infection you may be exposing yourself to! Please feel free to call us on 60 400034 to secure your appointment with us today! Shop 1/517 Sanders rd, Lavington.
