23.01.2022 This throwback to when Acacia was a tiny baby is because the theme for this weeks preschool classes is PYJAMA PARTY!! Feel free to wear ur pjs, or just slippers or dressing gown if u wish. But if you’d rather wear a tutu that’s fine too! Remember that this weeks classes are being run through cockatoo community house, so they have a different link. Mine is oh holy night, I get very upset if someone doesn’t do it justice at Carols by candlelight. (David Campbell did the best version!).

Room limits are STRICT, so on enrolment I’ll have to know the number of ‘bodies’ coming with each student. I’m predicting these will sell out, so get in quick!

12.01.2022 Haven’t signed up to our holiday classes yet? Here’s a bit more info on what to expect. PRESCHOOL - Join us for a dance to some of your favourite songs as well as some fun games too! These classes will have a different theme each week (Theme TBC) FAMILY HIP HOP- In this 30 minute class you will learn a simple hip hop routine that will get your heart pumping, fun for all ages!... FAMILY DANCE CLUB- Combining elements of multiple styles of dance such as jazz, ballet and even some Latin! Join us to learn a super fun routine that will be enjoyed by all ages.

03.01.2022 Hi guys, a lot of people, understandably, have been asking when we can open again, and the answer has had to be I just don’t know. I’m looking into some outside options, but that obviously won’t be ideal sound quality wise, kids running off wise. I know that online just isn’t the same. It’s harder for the kids and it’s way harder for me to judge what is and isn’t working and get a good relationship with the kids. I fully understand the restrictions that have been required, a...nd I’m super excited that we’re now seeing the payoffs of that with lower numbers, but I don’t understand why kids can be at school/kinder/daycare together, but then can’t dance together when they can be safely distanced in a dance room. Dance studios have been put into the same category as gyms sometimes, but a new category called ‘creative studio’ which we thought we’d be part of, hasnt included dance studios!! I know these rules are being made in a hurry, and we’re only a tiny dance school, but the fact that dance classes in general are such a popular activity and have once again been left out of things astounds me. 01.01.2022 How good are our mini ninjas and superhero’s! Just like in our big kids class on a Wednesday, we practise gross motor skills, as well as social and listening skills, all to cool music and stories. This preschool class was very popular and filled up first, however due to a change of days one spot has now opened up! If you’d like to join us at 1.20 on Monday’s let me know ASAP.
