23.01.2022 An email was sent last week with more details about our school Fun Run. Please see attached. What should students wear next Tuesday? Students should wear comfortable running shoes, bring their school hat and sunscreen and wear their sports house coloured shirt with uniform sports shorts.

22.01.2022 Thank you to everyone who participated and provided feedback for the recent Uniform Survey regarding the quality of uniforms. The P&C Executive have reviewed the feedback and listened to the concerns regarding the quality of the Nova brand check material on the boy’s formal shirt, girl’s blouse & dress. We understand there have been some quality issues around the current supplier. We want to apologise that this situation has occurred but unfortunately this was out of our con...trol. Please note: At this stage we believe it may only be a small batch affected, but this is very hard to determine at this point. We are continuing to investigate and looking at the options moving forward. We appreciate your understanding and support through this time and in the meantime if you do notice visible pilling of the material after washing of the boy’s formal shirt and girl’s blouse/dress and you aren't satisfied with the quality please notify the uniform shop by email at [email protected] We will arrange to review and if necessary, exchange for a new Nova item (like for like) and in turn this will give greater negotiating power with the supplier on the overall quality of the material and if it is across the whole check material line.

In recognition of the outstanding efforts of school staff during the COVID-19 pandemic, the last two days of the scho...ol year, Thursday 10 and Friday 11 December, have been declared student free days. Schools will be closed on these days. For some regional, rural and remote schools that finish the school year earlier, the student free days will be Thursday 3 and Friday 4 December. 21.01.2022 On Sunday afternoon our very own, extremely talented Ebony Westwood performed with the world class Excelsior band at Ferny Grove High School. A very lucky audience was present and it was streamed world wide. Some of Ebony's senior, junior and future students were lucky enough to attend and they were very inspired. We are so lucky to have such a talented, enthusiastic, inspirational music teacher at our school. Who knows, some of her students could be sitting in those band seats one day.

18.01.2022 It is Fun Run day today! Woo hoo! Don't forget Gwen will be in the uniform shop from 8.15 - 9am this morning for parents or students to buy their house colour shirt $7. Also attached is the timetable for today! Unfortunately no parents are allowed on school premises for the event. Wishing all the students a fun and exciting day today.

17.01.2022 Congratulations to all the students who participated in the school Fun Run last Tuesday. The students tried their very best and should be proud of their efforts.... Congratulations to ALPINE who took out the trophy for a 4th Year in a row!! Well done! Here are some pictures that were taken on the day. Apolgies we dont have pics from all year levels yet, however we will have many more to post after the holidays watch this space! Thank you to all our amazing staff and the P&C who contributed to making this such a fun and special day. Tomorrow is the Fun Run and rumour has it Frankie will be making an appearance and doing the run! Lastly, Thursday is Dress like a Pirate Day! What a great way to see out the end of Term 3?!

11.01.2022 Mrs Ross was busy in the Tuckshop today whipping up her final batch of Butter Chicken for term 4. The last day of Tuckshop trade for term 4 will be Friday 4th December. Some fun stats about our delicious butter chicken - 680 batches have been made this year, roughly 18 serves a week sold and it is one of the Tuckshops best sellers! Mrs Ross is now winding down her stock in preparation for school holidays, so get in quick before it's gone!

Think positive self-esteem statements. ... 2. Talk friendly or ask nicely for the person to stop. Be calm. Show confident body language. 3. Walk away. Stand tall, head up high. Remove yourself from the person / situation. Try to find a congested area or safety zone (teacher). 4. Talk firmly and tell the person to STOP! Let the person know that you will report it if he/she does not STOP! 5. If strategies 1-4 do not work, report it to an adult.

03.01.2022 The P&C regrets to advise there will be no Fathers Day Stall at the school this year. This decision wasn't made lightly, and the safety of our volunteers and parents is of utmost importance to us. We hope (keep your fingers crossed!) to hold a 'Parents Day' raffle later in the year to make up for missing out on both Mothers Day and Fathers Day celebrations this year.

01.01.2022 Uniform Shop update for Fun Run: Next Tuesday all children are asked to wear their house colour t-shirts for the fun run. All sizes and colours are in stock and available for purchase for $7. The shop is open Friday and Monday from 8.30am - 10.30am. And next week Gwen will be available on Tuesday morning from 8.15am - 9am for any last minute purchases before the fun run!
